Alia Bhatt without nepotism would last as long as her Hollywood career.

As if Karan Johar has any objectivity when it comes to nepo kids, that too Alia Bhatt of all people. Leave Udta Punjab, there was an interview of him during Rocky and Rani promotions, where he was mentioning something like Alia Bhatt being the legend/maestro she is, elevated Rani's character. It is laughable how he tries to pass off even her most average performances and movies as iconic.

Also, if a section of people can hail Alia as great actress due to her old performances in Udta Punjab or Raazi, then another section of people can totally consider her strictly mediocre and vastly overrated due to her performance in Heart of Stone, Sadak 2 and Brahmastra.

The thing with Alia Bhatt's PR and KJo is that her decent performances are hyped to skies for years like the most iconic thing in Indian cinema, and her below average performances are buried under the ground, never to be mentioned again.
