Recap - Veer has a nice time at the orphanage till he overhears Bhimsen's plans to storm the palace. Dharam receives Siya's scroll with Chatarpur's plans in them. Dharam and Veer make up and decide strategies to face their enemies. Seeing that Siya had revealed her feelings for Dharam in her scroll, Veer forces Dharam to write back and unwittingly signs his name instead of Dharam's. Veer finally starts back towards the capital to face the revolts and send the regiments while Dharam will face the invaders at the border.

Links to previous episodes and preview to Part 20 posted in post below.

Note - Sorry for my delay in posting this part, since I have been unwell. This part majorly deals with the war and hence is more description of happenings rather than interesting conversations and may seem slightly rushed, but I guessed most would not be interested in reading any more about war than this!😆 It may seem inferior and less grasping when compared to other parts, but was definitely the most difficult to write. However, it is necessary for the story to move forward. I promise that things cheer up from Part 20 and remains happy for many many parts after that

Enroute Aryanagar, the capital

Veer finally walks out from the tent into the dark battle grounds; refusing to turn around even once, unable to affront the helpless dread that his brother's eyes bore. Sadly observing Veer disappear towards his mission in a bid to take on all of the capital's problems on his young shoulders; Dharam then looks at the scroll in his hand, and sighs, as he proceeds to complete his duties.

Passing through the vast barren muddy area scantily dotted with sleepy soldiers resting around campfires, Veer quietly approaches the small group of commanders engrossed in conversation beside the massive primal military housing. As he tip toes towards the friendly persona of the Aryanagar commander-in-chief, Veer suddenly acts agitated and starts screaming aloud to startle the old man "Sanjaya ji you need to come along with me ...I have to show you something...I can't seem to understand...it is absolutely terrible..."

Gripping his pounding chest; the exasperated Sanajaya swiftly turns around to find the horrified face of Veer gaping at him and enquires worriedly "W...What Rajkumar Veer?"

Pretending to be horrified; Veer reacts by grabbing Sanajaya by his wrist and starts dragging the objecting commander away from his remaining group hastily.

All along the long course through the forlorn sandy fields, Sanjaya endeavours to find out more about the troubling issue, while Veer responds with evasive ambiguous replies that baffle the desperate man even more. Finally arriving at the point where his loyal white steed is tied up, Veer points to the animal and resents with a sad frown "Off late; my horse has not been galloping as fast...would you be able to ride it...check it for me..."

Instantly aghast by the trivial issue of a seemingly obstinate prince, Sanjaya queries him "Amidst all these problems, you are worried about the speed of your horse...Rajkumar Veer...I have so many other matters to tend to...I can't..."

Veer folds his hand and glares at Sanjaya, feigning anger "How am I supposed to fight on horseback, if my horse is ill or doesn't function to the best of its ability..." he pauses "If something happens to me on the battlefield...you will be to blame...Sanjaya ji..."

Annoyed by being cornered into obeying the stubborn whims of a spoilt prince, the nave Sanjaya exhales deeply in dissatisfaction, and immediately unties and mounts the tall horse to end the matter as soon as possible. Just as Sanjaya is about to nudge the horse to carry out his inspections, the agile Veer springs behind him while still holding on to his belongings, seizes the reigns from the commander and gives his trusted steed a forceful kick. By the time Sanjaya realizes what is happening; the horse comprehends its master's signal and takes off expeditiously to carry Veer towards his distant destination. As Sanjaya begins vehemently screaming in rebellion, Veer bends forward to shut his mouth in order to ensure they don't attract any unwanted attention. Steering the reigns of their swift conveyance with one hand and tightly muffling the enraged Sanjaya with the other, Veer whispers in a firm tone "Sanjaya ji listen to me...I am not abducting you, so stop screaming like a helpless girl …I am just taking you to the military chambers at Aryanagar…we need your help for something very urgent…please don't interrupt me and allow me to explain everything … I shall tell you everything on the way…everything about Gadhwar...Chatarpur... the revolutionaries...but you must trust me...please..."

While veer retracts his hand out of respect; Sanjaya gradually composes himself, as he feels compelled to succumb to the grievous tone of the prankish yet lovable boy. For a major part of their long consequential ride towards the palace; the shaken old man looks ahead sternly, while the prince unravels in detail about their dreadful plight, the twin attacks on Aryanagar and the most reasonable strategy to thwart the numerous enemies. Handing over the forged scroll containing the king's seal to the shocked man, Veer repeatedly implores Sanjaya "Please have faith in me... please co-operate and order all Aryanagar regiments to march towards the border in a bid to save our kingdom...please Sanjaya ji"

Having seen no palpable evidence and pondering on how the princes had been discredited on a few occasions in past efforts to prove their claims, Sanjaya mentally debates for a long while, if he should believe Veer's frightfully sordid facts "Why do I feel driven to trust him and his words...I can't fathom how foolish I'm being by doing all this... I would lose my life for going against the decree of the king with a forged document if this turned out to be a false alarm...but if all this is true...well...then...Aryanagar would probably be better off safe than sorry!"

Finally giving in to Veer's requests; Sanjaya nods his head affirmatively, delighting and enormously relieving the young prince

Palace of Aryanagar – A hidden subway cellar underneath a locked corner tower

Veer pants heavily, as he hurls the large jute sack from his back onto the ground. Exhausted by the long draining meeting with the commanders at the military chamber; he sighs and makes a detailed final visual note around the long dark stony corridor. Veer then turns to brave the pale faces of his mother, aunt and their maids huddled close to one other in a dim-lit gloomy corner. Seated on a few lush silk sheets to shield themselves from the dingy cold floor; the terrified ladies anxiously observe the prince approaching them. Kneeling near his mother; he observes the misty warmth in her eyes and savours the brief moment, till he catches sight of the tearful face of his aunt sitting beside her.

The heavy hearted prince places his hand on Swathi to assure her "Mami... Sanjaya ji is currently dispatching the forces to Dharam and Maharaj at the border...they will be safe ...please don't worry... nothing will happen to them...to me...or to you..." he pauses to continue in a low tone "The palace will be a death trap for the next few days... you all should be safe here, since no one knows about this cellar apart from myself or Dharam!"

Wiping the sweat off his brow; he ponders to himself for a while and then flashes his mother a sensitive smile, before proceeding to instruct them thoroughly "Ma...Swathi mami... please promise me that you would not at any instant step out of this place unless Dharam or I come here to fetch you. Do not trust anyone or make any noise. I am hoping the revolts should be over in a day or two. Since all guards are going to be busy with the revolts, I have managed to post only two here." Finding himself becoming increasingly emotional, he points towards the large bundle on the floor and continues "I pray you might never have to...but don't hesitate to use the weapons if needed. Everything is there in the bundle...sheets to keep you warm...wood, lamp and oil... some dry food to last for about two days..."

Listening to his daunting directions; the ladies try very hard to hide their apparent panic at their unsure impending fate, till they notice Veer slowly trying to hold back his tears, as he concludes "There is a large pot of w...water, which should last for about 3 days... only use it w...when necessary..." unable to complete his directions or watch the plight of his family anymore, Veer eventually begins to choke on his tears, as he confesses "Oh Lord! You wake me up with a glass of almond milk in your hand everyday, while your unfortunate son is rationing even basic food and water to you now!"

As Nivritti wipes her tears at the emotional turmoil that her son was facing, Swathi, pats Veer to try and lighten the situation "My son... it's just a matter of few days...after your success, we will all be back to normalcy again...back to our fun filled days..."

Aware of the other ladies watching him; Veer nods his head in reply, wipes his face and then stands up in haste, as the anxious Nivritti ultimately utters her parting wish, immensely worried for her son "Don't worry about us Veer! You have had no rest and look so tired...please take care of yourself...please take care of yourself for my sake..."

Winking his eye, Veer replies candidly to cheer her up "Ma...have you forgotten that your son is a warrior?"

Bending down to give his family an affectionate farewell hug; he flashes them an assuring smile that displays numerous silent promises and then exits the cellar, simultaneously ordering the soldiers to bolt the door behind him.

Palace of Aryanagar – Agni's guarded private chamber

Yawning with an ecstatic smile, Agni opens the velvet curtains of his extensive window looking forward to joining his dad at the border very soon on the penultimate day of their victory. Through his blurred sleepy eyes, he envisages what he originally thinks to be a colossal line of noisy ants marching, a long distance away. Rubbing his eyes to clarify his vision, his pleasant visage turns to one of horror, as he realizes the thundering spectacle to be hundreds of thousands of Aryanagar foot soldiers marching uniformly in groups along with cartloads of arsenal, led by the gentry of thousands of commanders on horseback and their elite archers on elephants.

Confounded by how all this came to happen, he grabs his glistening sword from its holder in an attempt to hurriedly stop the Aryanagar forces from marching towards the border and ruining their devious plans. Just as he rushes across his large gloomy chamber; he stops in his tracks, surprised to face the captivating fresh smile on the face of the girl delicately masqueraded within her heavy brown cloak, concealing her pretty pink attire. Flashing him a pleasant smile; she speaks as she brings forward her petite hand jingling with black metal bangles to reveal a small sweet in her palm "Your Highness! I went to the temple to pray for your victory...on my way to the palace, I saw the entire Aryanagar army marching...has there been a change of plan?"

Preoccupied by the woeful dread at all of his and his father's carefully thought out schemes being wrecked, he shows his annoyance at her inopportune presence by brusquely shoving her aside, causing the Prasad to scatter all over the marble floor. Grabbing his belongings, he grits his teeth in anger and warns her "Everything seemed fine till midnight...I don't know what is going on... anyway, I don't have time for useless slaves or some Shramik Prasad now...how dare you enter my chamber unannounced..."

Staring at the littered Prasad on the floor for a brief moment; she nods her head in disapproval. Sporting a wry grin, she then wipes her sticky hand and refutes him in a soft tone "Rajkumar Agni! I entered, as your guards were not there outside." smiling humbly, she continues "Useless slave? If I had not overheard Rajkumar Veer at the cliff unwittingly mumbling to himself about visiting the Sawai construction site to investigate, the treasure would have been found and...God forbid...you would...have been..."

Enraged by her implications; he interrupts her by raising his hand to slap her furiously, but overpowered by the cold expression in her deep unflinching eyes, stops to caution her instead "Don't ever speak to me in that tone again...and lower your eyes when you address me in future ...I have other urgent things to tend to...just get out of my private chamber now..."

Shera rewraps her cloak to mask her resolute expressions and thoughts at the conveniently hypocritical transformations of the erratic prince's words and behaviour "Play around with fire much as you want Rajkumar Agnivardhan...continue to do so and you will end up being burnt one day..."

In obedience to his fierce indication towards the large wooden door of his room, she silently swallows her ego and finally exits his chamber

The war of Aryanagar

What to say of the cruelties of war as both brothers battled out their enemies from their respective stands

Aryanagar, capital - The palace - Ensuring that Shera had left the vicinity; Agni storms through the unusually deserted long corridors of the grandiose palace to stop the Aryanagar soldiers from marching towards the border. As he swiftly turns towards the hallway that eventually leads to the main entrance of the palace, he comes across the faint noises of unpleasant loud screams and metal coming from the official assembly chamber in an adjacent tower. Momentarily hesitant if he should inspect the source of the disturbing noises, he decides to give in to his curiosity and dashes in the direction of the assembly hall. Not expecting to be faced with the appalling disarray of a massive riot between the strong revolutionaries, a handful of overwhelmed soldiers and a few unfortunate nobles in the assembly chamber, Agni stands briefly dumbfounded. As the chaos starts pouring out from the humongous hall into the hallways, destroying elegant palace furniture, wrecking the enamelled walls and bringing ornate chandeliers to a resounding thud, Agni steps back in horror, thinking to himself "Bhimsen...here...so soon...the foolish revolutionaries have already raided the assembly...where are the remaining palace guards...I better get out of here..."

Fearing for his life, the shaken Agni resolves to immediately escape from the mutiny and takes a few steps back in order to run away. Suddenly feeling a gnawing pain on the back of head followed by a bloodcurdling holler; Agni holds his head in agony and spins around, only to find himself confronted by the frightful face of a Shramik staring into his face. Staggering on his feet, he attempts to take the sword out of his hilt, but another potent thud on his head by the vigorous man, knocks him out of consciousness.

Soon after; Bhimsen emerges from the assembly hall followed by his loyal friends, elated at their relatively easy success so far. Noticing the abandoned body of Agni lying on the floor with a victorious smile, he immediately guides his large troupe from the now empty assembly tower towards the main palace halls to kill any remaining Aryavarts. Devastating anything exquisite on their way in a sign of protest; the jubilant group eventually make their way into the main palace halls.

Abruptly alerted by a hushed echo reverberating within the impressive court hall, they stare at each other for a few moments in nervous silence, till they are caught unaware by the vindictive glares of a radiant fearless prince who reveals himself majestically from behind a pillar. In a short while, Veer's battalion of nimble soldiers emerge from behind various pillars in the hall, surrounding the Shramiks on all sides. As soon as the Aryanagar soldiers wisely stationed by Veer in various strategic counterattack points receive the deafening charging commands from their young mentor, they proceed to attack the powerful revolutionaries with full fury. Leading his Soldiers; Veer puts on an arduous fight taking on as many outlaws himself, as he could at any point of time. Men much taller and mightier find themselves no match for the skill that the prince possessed at brandishing his sword. Jumping over rosewood side tables, and knocking off royal vases, he ducks all their combined efforts to injure him. Brave men battling the valiant young warrior manage to inflict hardly any injuries on him, only to be slaughtered in return by the bravest and most skilful swordsman they ever came across.

As the ferocious encounter ensues throughout the day; the revolutionaries slowly survey how their larger numbers seemed to dwindle at a faster speed than the few Aryavrat soldiers resisting them. Babu, Bhimsen and their friends realize the urgent need of tackling the quick-witted bold Veer who seemed single-handedly responsible for undoing all of their meticulous plans.

Aryanagar – The border - The dismal orange sunrise at the border sees the disorderly commotion of alerted soldiers agitatedly scrambling to grab their respective weapons and don their war suits from military tents. Immensely distressed by the sudden unfavourable sightings of military formations marching from Gadhwar and on receiving information of the revolts at the palace; Aryavardhan strives to hide his anguish, as he rigorously supervises his forces in order to deal with the situation. Following a brief conference with some commanders to confirm strategies for a final time; the determined Dharam bedecked in his splendorous military armour, approaches his father to discuss latest developments. He notes the inhospitable face of an Aryanagar commander in bulky armour walking towards their direction.

Offering a humble bow, the corrupt Dhananjeya addresses the king meekly "Maharaj! It seems that the last anyone saw Sanjaya ji was the night before last...he is apparently missing!"

Joyous at the king's pitiful situation and the increased grief Aryavardhan faced with Dhananjeya's reply; Jaivardhan exchanges a pleased smirk with his unrelenting associate.

Not failing to observe Jaivardhan and Dhananjeya's silent smirks, the resolute Dharam mulls to himself scornfully "Laugh all you want...once mine and Veer's plans turn out successful, I would love to see your expressions then.." after a brief pause, he ponders worriedly "An entire day since Veer left and no news from Aryanagar yet...is he safe...has he been successful......no sign of Sanjaya ji or of any of the regiments...no...Veer would never fail me...he knows Aryanagar is dependant on him!"

Dharam's thoughts are disturbed by the sarcastic concern in Jaivardhan's voice "Maharaj! for that matter, even Veer is not around. While we are braving such a serious situation here, I am sure he has gone off on his usual strolls…abandoning his regiment!"

Frowning at his uncle irately, Dharam objects "Chacha…Veer knows his duties far more than one thinks of him… and in that case even Agni is not here yet…"

Fed up of their petty exchanges, Aryavardhan interrupts them "Enough! This is not the time to be arguing. Dhananjeya lead a search out for Sanjaya and have you acted on my orders to get all our regiments from the capital here as soon as possible. Find out where Agni and Veer are...please hurry...now...go..."

In order to put up an obedient act, the gladdened Dhananjeya and Jaivardhan offer a humble bow and then leave behind the afflicted monarch to carry out their bidding.

After their departure, Aryavardhan notices his son's silence and enquires in a low tone "You seem to be thinking about something... as though you are hiding something from me...do you really think Gadhwar are going to break their agreement and attack us?"

Perceiving how his dubious father continued to distrust his own son's genuine theories and efforts; Dharam smiles silently in reply and confesses in a low tone to quieten his fears "Pitaji...the revolts at the palace for which you dispatched orders this morning ...well..." he pauses hesitantly "Veer left the night before last to take care of the revolts and to take ma and bua to safety...if not we would have been too late…" on noticing the alarmed expressions on his father's face, Dharam continues "We hoped the rebellion would be over in a day and that Veer would join us soon, but looks like the revolts are still ongoing...Sanjaya ji had left with Veer...he should be here soon with the full strength of our regiments...we need all the help, as Chatarpur may be attacking us too!"

Aghast by his son's admission and furious at having been kept in the dark for so long, Aryavardhan demands an explanation "Dharam! You knew about all this in advance and yet hid all this from me...you took so many important matters in your own hands…"

Nodding his head unhappily, Dharam retaliates "Pitaji…but when we tried to tell you about Gadhwar, you didn't believe us..." he mentally concludes on a sad note "You believe people like Jai chacha instead...anyway, it's just a matter of time before I find incriminating proof against them..."

Still in disbelief about the astounding information provided by his son, the surprised father prods on to interrupt Dharam's thoughts "I cannot believe that you have taken such important decisions without letting even me, the king know...how did you know about all this in the first place...about Chatarpur...about the revolutionaries storming the palace..."

Not wanting to reveal anything about his association with the princess of Niphaud or her personal letter, Dharam replies casually "Well...we have our sources pitaji..."

With numerous other pressing matters to tend to, Dharam then takes his father's leave. Gradually pondering on how the princes' well made plans seemed comprehensible solutions for Aryanagar's dire situations, Aryavardhan becomes moved at how fastidiously his son and nephew had taken charge of all matters by themselves. Reproving himself for having suspected and insulted the princes' intentions and filled with a new wave of pride and respect for his son, he joins Dharam in the final preparations to get their defensive forces ready against the invaders.

Aryanagar, capital - The streets - Followed by his soldiers; Veer rides furiously through the rustic streets, crowded markets and the panicked subjects in the capital, not minding his blood soaked clothes. Exasperating heavily and his hair wet with sweat and toil, he refuses to give up chasing the five revolutionaries escaping from the palace. Eventually managing to catch up with two of the agile revolutionaries who create chaos wherever they flee, he severs his sword through them swiftly and they fall dead amidst the stampede of the terrified subjects running to seek shelter for their children and belongings. Unable to manoeuvre his horse any longer through the swarming streets packed with scurrying people; the troubled Veer jumps off his horse and abandons his soldiers to follow the remaining escapees on foot. The effects of trying to defend his forte solitarily for two entire days starts becoming apparent on the young prince , as he endeavours with great difficulty to overcome the fatigue in his shivering legs and regularly pauses to catch up on his breath.

Aryanagar – The border - As anxious sighters update them on the advancing forces, the paltry numbers of Aryanagar soldiers stand one row behind another in tight clusters ducked behind large shields in a bid to stall the treasonous attacks and defend their kingdom for as long as they could. Aware that their numbers were far less than the approaching armies; the soldiers uneasily watch how the lines of small dots looming from their horizon grow larger, as the encroachers progress closer and closer towards Aryanagar. Cognizant that they were marching into sure death if help didn't arrive on time, Dharam and Aryavardhan stationed at the respective head of their regiments notice the nervous expressions on the faces of their commanders and soldiers.

Staring at the cloaked happiness in his uncle's eyes, Dharam immediately mounts his horse and starts galloping in front of his entire troupe to provoke his men with instigating words "Dear soldiers...we are facing war now...I know we are challenging a large army...however, if you consider yourself an Aryanagari...if this is where you were born... if this is where your children live...then you will defend your home proudly...even if it would mean you had to lay your life for it...never underestimate the power of miracles..."

Trying to instil feelings of patriotism with an inspiring speech, Dharam continues to nudge his group to face the battle, till the Gadhwar and Chatarpur armies finally arrive at their Eastern and Western borders.

As the roaring conches blow to indicate the beginning of war, the comparatively larger Gadhwar army attack, exuding confidence of a sure victory over their poorly numbered counterparts. The undaunted Dharam signals his commanders to singularly lead his, Veer's and Agni's regiments into the grounds; followed by a steadfast Aryavardhan, jittery Bhalla and the ignoble Jaivardhan. Setting out on his loyal horse; Dharam skilfully wields his sword on the opposing forces, simultaneously ensuring that his soldiers put up a tough contest against both armies. Proving his false loyalty by waging the war alongside his brother, Jaivardhan marks Dharam's magnificence on the battlefield and begins to worry about Agni's long absence. For most part of the day; the brave prince and his commanders endure many injuries and continue to perform brilliantly on the fields, astonishing everyone around them. However; as the fateful day eventually wanes, the brave Aryanagar soldiers discover that skills alone are no match for a denser Gadhwar army, and the vulnerable Aryanagar army find their forces becoming overwhelmed and conquered, over time.

Aryanagar, capital - The streets - Running through muddy patches of deserted rural lanes, Veer pushes his tired self to pursue the culprits and strives to grab one of the men running ahead of him, till a voice behind him catches his attention "I have never come across such a tenacious fighter like you... you have fought for two days with no rest at all…are you really an Aryavrat?"

Slowly turning around to find the tall Bhimsen looking over him, Veer pants heavily and then smirks to give a cynical reply "How silly of you to underestimate an Aryavrat…one of the strongest armies ever… never lost a single war in the last two centuries!"

Folding his hands with an air of superiority, Bhimsen retorts casually "Oh you are capable of winning wars all right…on the battlefield…but Shramiks win battles…battles with torture….battles for freedom day in day out…so who is stronger…"

Veer nods his head in sarcasm at Bhimsen's silly comments and replies, as he twirls his sword "Secretly teaming up with rogues like Agni…attacking an empty palace with only harmless ladies…this is no way to win any battle…" gasping to catch his breath, he continues "Anyway Bhimsen...you lost your dishonest battle...you could not even touch my family...and...I managed to drive you all out of my palace...kill most of your men..."

Listening to the prince's witty responses, Bhimsen laughs out loud and then speaks up in a callous tone "Rajkumar Veer…exactly...you put up such a difficult fight and killed so many of our men…hence, in order to protect ourselves...and take our own sweet revenge…we had to trick you into this….I am sorry...but, who says war is always fair!"

Hastily darting around; Veer suddenly realizes that he was trapped in a dead end of a Shramik street, surrounded on all sides by fresh faces of menacing revolutionaries. The disgusted Veer glares at the men around him and then grips his weapon and takes his stance, unwilling to give up. Wasting no time; the group of inconsiderate men start inflicting blows on the deserted prince with their weapons from all directions simultaneously, which Veer assays to defend for a while. Deceived into the quagmire that he was in, the exhausted prince is eventually unable to keep up to their fresh assault and in a horrendous moment of ill fate, finds himself unable to block one of the men from running a large knife into his torso. Overwhelmed with the fatigue and throbbing pain, Veer looks at the knife deeply embedded into him with a blank gaze, while his vision begins to blur. Helplessly watching the final sights of the horrified men scampering around him in panic; the prince finally shuts his eyes and drops unconscious to the ground, forced to bring his heroic saga to a premature end.

Aryanagar – The border - Watching the vanquished expressions on his father's face and his rapidly diminishing army around him; the nearly defeated Dharam looks up to the skies uncaring of the sweat and blood flowing down his brow to reprimand the Lord for testing him so severely. Standing amidst the bloody grounds; the lifeless prince closes his eyes to recall the memorable scenes from his life for a last time - his lovely days at the Gurukul, his mother's smile, his father's blessing, Veer's mischievous frowns, the princess of Niphaud and his Aryanagar home. Constantly battling with repeated premonitions for his brother's safety; Dharam remains overwhelmed, till he faintly discerns the rhythmic tremors of the Earth and awakens from his thoughts to slowly open his eyes, in fear.

The deafening sounds of the war ground come to a terrifying silence, as everyone stares at the source of the tremors - hundreds of thousands of Aryanagar regiments pouring in veins towards both the eastern and western borders of Aryanagar, led by the proud Sanjaya. Watching his full force of commanders, foot soldiers and cartloads of weaponry; Aryavardhan and the remaining handful of Aryanagar soldiers break into a smile of instant relief, while a tear of gratitude flows from the overjoyed Dharam's eye, washing the blood off his cheek. Dhananjeya and Jaivardhan stare dumbfounded, unable to comprehend how Sanjaya had arrived with the entire Aryanagar army on time. Sensing Aryanagar's definite victory, Jaivardhan becomes immediately mad with rage and fury at how all his plans seemed to be collapsing. While thoughts race past the evil monarch's mind to find means to clear both his and his son's name from any involvement in this whole affair, the jubilant Dharam again mounts his horse to lead his rejuvenated powerful army to crush the now seemingly diminutive powerless invaders.

Aryanagar, capital - The streets

Cautiously attempting to evade getting embroiled in the chaotic rioting and the panic in the dangerous dark streets, a nervous small girl and her younger brother huddle within a rough blanket to shield themselves from the cold pouring rain. Spotting a group of gruff-looking men taking advantage of Aryanagar's situation by looting and plundering any unfortunate passerbys in an adjacent street, the children tightly cling on to the cold skirt of their guardian, out of fear. Pulling the large brown cloak over her face, Shera securely hugs the shivering children close to her wet cloak to reassure them and quickly drags them through the heavy rain, anxiously hoping to reach their destination safely.

Suddenly startled by her brother's low scream; the small girl looks in the direction he points to to observe a vague figure partially buried in the corner of the muddy wet street a short distance away.

The boy starts quivering, as he speaks up "Shera didi... someone is dead..."

Noticing the figure to be a blood-stained rain-soaked cold body strewn aside on a street, Shera protectively closes the eyes of the frightened children with her chilly hands to shield them from the ghastly sight. Gaping at the body through the intense rain; she slowly recognizes it to be the handsome persona of the familiar Aryanagar prince and her eyes widen in astonishment, as she mutters to herself in a low breath "Rajkumar Veer...here...dead!"

OSR.::~Samyukta~::.

A historical tale...of brotherhood…of love...and of ideals

I have dedicated this story to the name Samyukta which signifies togetherness, unison and interdependance. This story is set in 13th century Northern India. It is a story of two cousin brothers - one royal, the son of the ruling monarch (Dharam) and other one brought up as a royal (Veer). The story is no doubt about the trials and tribulations that the brothers face, about their ideals, their relationships and their circumstances - However, the underlying message of the story being that unity is victory!

Hence named - Samyukta of Dharam and Veer

Note about Shera - At this point of time, Shera works for Agni. She is his slave. She knows perfectly well his attitude and his intentions, as is apparent with her reactions to his actions from both their past meetings with him. Hence, she doesn't have even a sign of dejection on her face when he treats her rudely or throws the prasad - as she doesn't expect him to be any kinder. In spite of all this, being a strong egoistic girl that she is, doesn't even flinch when he comes to hit her. However; having said all this, she has to behave meekly with him as if she doesnt, all he would need is a moment of ill-temper to cut her throat with his sword... So she will play it safe 😛 as she wants to stay alive...

The only reason she prayed at the temple was because, she was also one of Agni's spies involved in helping him out and since some of the plans were their's together, she prayed for their success (since it was the penultimate day of their plans all coming to an end). She doesnt have any feelings for Agni whatsoever and dislikes him from the bottom of her heart! He was (selfishly) sweet to her the last time they met, so she just thought of returning the favour by giving him the prasad and wishing him luck for the war - that's all 😊

Hope this solved everyone's doubts 😆

oh my goodness chech!!!!!! that was a magnificent part and there's certainly nothing inferior or rushed about it!!!!!!!! 👏

even though most of it were descriptions of the war u havnt left out the emotions and thoughts goin through each character's mind... thats what i loved the most... 😳

and i loved the manner in which veer made sanjaya listen to him... veer always comes up with a hatke plan to get things done... 😃

the scene with nivriti and swathi was just so so sweet... "There is a large pot of w...water, which should last for about 3 days... only use it w...when necessary..." unable to watch the plight of his family anymore, Veer eventually begins to choke on his tears, as he confesses "Oh Lord! You wake me up with a glass of almond milk in your hand everyday, while your unfortunate son is rationing even basic food and water to you now!" that was the most touching line ever... 😭

agni!!!! 😡😡😡 he is one ungrateful brat... after all that shera's done for his horrible plans thats the way he treats her... 'useless slave' indeed!!!!! i love shera's silent response - "Play around with fire much as you want Rajkumar Agnivardhan...continue to do so and you will end up being burnt one day..." ah but he already got a taste of his own medicine... 😳

Dharam immediately mounts his horse and starts galloping in front of his entire troupe to provoke his men with instigating words "Dear soldiers...we are facing war now...I know we are challenging a large army...however, if you consider yourself an Aryanagari...if this is where you were born... if this is where your children live...then you will defend your home proudly...even if it would mean you had to lay your life for it...never underestimate the power of miracles..."

spoke like a true leader and patriot... 👏

Trying to instil feelings of patriotism with an inspiring speech, Dharam continues to nudge his group to face the battle, till the Gadhwar army finally arrive at their border. *sign* my noble and brave dharam... 😳

as always i could picture the battle scenes as u described it... 😃

Setting out on his loyal horse; Dharam skilfully wields his sword on the opposing forces, simultaneously ensuring that his soldiers put up a tough contest against both armies. For most part of the day; the brave prince and his commanders endure many injuries and continue to perform brilliantly on the fields, astonishing everyone around them. However; as the fateful day eventually wanes, the brave Aryanagar soldiers discover that skills alone are no match for a denser Gadhwar army, and the vulnerable Aryanagar army find their forces becoming overwhelmed and conquered, over time.

....the nearly defeated Dharam looks up to the skies uncaring of the sweat and blood flowing down his brow to reprimand the Lord for testing him so severely. Standing amidst the bloody grounds; the lifeless prince closes his eyes to recall the memorable scenes from his life for a last time - his lovely days at the Gurukul, his mother's smile, his father's blessing, Veer's mischievous frowns, the princess of Niphaud and his Aryanagar home. this is my fav scene.... all the emotions that dharam's goin through can be felt in these few lines... 😳

oh these so called 'revolutionaries' are such a cowardly lot... its a shame to even call them by that name.... 😡

....Wasting no time; the group of inconsiderate men start inflicting blows on the deserted prince with their weapons from all directions simultaneously, which Veer assays to defend for a short while. Deceived into the quagmire that he was in, the exhausted prince is eventually unable to keep up to their fresh assault and in a horrendous moment of ill fate, finds himself unable to block one of the men from running a large knife into his torso. Overwhelmed with the fatigue and throbbing pain, Veer stares at the knife embedded into him blankly, while his vision begins to blur. Helplessly watching the final sights of horrified people scampering around him in panic; the prince finally drops unconscious to the ground, forced to bring his heroic saga to an end. 😭😭😭

i had a feeling shera will be the one to help out veer in the end... 😉

Noticing the figure to be a blood-stained rain-soaked cold body strewn aside on a street, Shera protectively closes the eyes of the frightened children with her chilly hands to shield them from the ghastly sight. Gaping at the body; she slowly recognizes it to be the handsome persona of the Aryanagar prince and her eyes widen in astonishment, as she mutters to herself in a low breath "Rajkumar Veer...here...dead!" hmmmn i wonder whats goin on inside her mind at that instance... 😳

thank god u are updating today chech... i cant wait to read the next part... i wanna see dharam battling his way to victory... 😳

lotsa *hugs*

🤗so lashy i'm not too late this time hai na first a big hug to u..how could u think that this part is inferior 😕..it was wowwwwwwwww...i loved that scene where veer is trying to convince sanjaya that he is not abducting him so please stop srcreaming like a girl 🤣perfect dialogue for veer ...veer ke liye itne pyaare dialogue kaise soach leti ho lashooooooo

that scene was emotional and when veer was talking to his mother and mami😭...he was trying to hold back his tears oh😭...he is such a sweet boy

i loved war scene they way u discribe it na ...i dont have words to xplain..simply superb so maharaj understand now his son and veer...chalo dair hi sahi pata toh chala

how could agni treat shera like this he is such a selfish and a mean person😡........person and why shera is tolerating her she should have slapped him but she has no choice

veer is injured😭..oh uska khayal rakhna aur uski achche se seva bhi karana 😉...

looking forward to see the next part chalo...ek baar hug aur🤗

What is this lashy, u can understand me taking so long to reply is coz I just don't know how to reply, RAJKUMAR VEER IS DEAD, after reading this I just forgot the whole update I had read and had to read it again and again, but nothing is registering now

I loved veer preparing for the war, it was so moving and touching, but his this dia was the best

"Oh Lord! You wake me up with a glass of almond milk in your hand everyday, while your unfortunate son is rationing even basic food and water to you now!"

And this is my fav attitude of veer which I am really going to miss in the coming epi if the synopsis of the coming epi is true "Winking his eye, Veer replies candidly to cheer her up "Ma...have you forgotten that your son is a warrior?"

But I just loved the war both at the border and the city, it was so fast moving and thrilling, each and every second I was waiting for the next thing to strike, u really bought the war to life, veers bravery, dharams bravery, maharajs helplessness and then pride at this son and his nephew, jaiwardhan growing suspicion that something is going wrong with his plans, and then the aryanagars troops arriving just in time to save the day, all very very brillilant.

I just hope that rajkumar veer is not dead but just very badly injured and has his lady love to take care of him

Awesome work Shradhha👏👏

Another fantastic part😊.loved this part also...story is getting more interesing day by day😛

I like the scene in which veer really abducteed Sanjay😆 n try to convince him that he is not abducting him so stop sceming like helpless girls!! it was so funny. but the dialogue said by veer were good enough to convince Sanjaya. i was like pls Sanjaya maan bhi jao veer is saying the truth😆 but thank god finally he gave in to veer's request👏 n give some relief to veer😊

The scene between veer, his mom n his mami was very touchy n emotional. It touched directly to my heart😭 it expressed veer's character correctly n proved that how much emotional n lovable person he is!!!he was trying hard to hold back his tears 😭 n persuade them not to come out of the cellar at any cost untill he or dharam come there. n also explain all about goods like sheets, water, food, wood, oil, lamp which shud last for about 2-3 days 😭 he was realy worried for them!!

Why shera did pray for agni?? he is only his master not....😕. but i like that agni scolded her. mujhe bahot hi khushi hui😆 because woh ek aise insaan ke liye kaam kar rahi hai jo sirf dhokadari, kapat janta hai n she is the one who helped agni n increased all these troubles for veer n dharam.bahot achha kiya agni ne👏 aisa behave karke now she'll understand for whom she is working !!

veer!! our hero😊 kya entry mari usne😳 😆 u proved him a real hero👏. the way u make him enter in this scene was awesome,"veer reveals himself majestically from behind a pillar " n bhimsen ya shramiks ko pata hi nahi chala kab unlogo ko sainks ne gher liya👏.awesome fight by veer n bhimsen wanted kill him😆.iwhereas veer fight single handadly n undoing their plans😆 n Agni ko bhi shramiks ne mara👏😆.it was gud otherwise veer ko apne hath kharab karne padte use mar ke😆

finally aryavardhan came to know the truth by dharam n asked the reason behind hiding all this imp matters from him n the way dharam answered him that he didnt believed them before n believed people like jaichacha instead👏.n finally found dharam n veer hd been right all along!!it was necessary for JV. n finally he join dharam for the final preparation to get ready their force against invaders👏 chalo der aaye durust aaye😆

veer didnt want to let escape any of the revolutionaries even though his clothes were soaked with blood n he was so much tired👏

i like the way u described dharam's part His instigating words for his army proved him as a future n suitable king👏

That bhimsen😡 tricked veer😭 woh akele nahi lad paya to veer ko trick karkr apne ilake me le aaya!! darpok kahi ka😡

the way dharam find defeated himself n recalling all the happiest moments of his life with his mim,dad n veer was sooo emotional.n finally sanjaya had reached at time👏 n i felt...haaaashhhhhh...😆n dharam got emotinal n" tear of gratitude flowed from his overjoyed eyes"!!😭

n the last scene shera hs taken veer😕. what did u do with him shradhha??😭 hope he is alright😕

hopefully shera will take care him n story get more interesting😳😳😳...???

bahot suspense create kar diya hai tumne to...cant wait for the next part😉.pls update soon😊

overall this part was fantastic,awesome n mindblowing👏👏👏

I loved this part 19 lash 😛 .. I dunno why you felt that we will not like it… 😕

u seriously underestimated the taste of ur intelligent readers just because we watch DV ? 😆

My favourite scene in this one was the emotional scene between Veer n the queens 😳 .. Veers dialogue abt almond milk… made me miss my momma n almond milk 😭
it was a beautiful scene n bhuvi became emotional n had to grab a tissue 😭 thank god u did not habe any Nivs taking aarti of Veer scene this one was soo practical n touching 👏 .This scene was BEAUTIFUL 😳

I loved the way u described the way Veer fights with those shramiks 😛 .. I could see him jumping over rosewood tables n vases… 😍 oh I could visualize all this "Brave men battling the valiant young warrior manage to inflict hardly any injuries on him, only to be slaughtered in return by the bravest and most skilful swordsman they ever came across." 😍 😍

I loved the comic kidnapping of Sanjaya by Veer the way he tricks the innocent man with his overacting as if he witnessed something horrific so very veer like even in this situation 😆 .. "I am not abducting you, so stop screaming like a helpless girl" 🤣 aww the day Veer adbucts a girl like that 😍 shaking myself out of that beautiful thought 😆 This was a hilarious scene ... 😆

I loved the way that even ur Dharam n Veer are not invincible n Dharam almost accepts defeat.. I was senti whn he recollects all happy memories "the memorable scenes from his life for a last time - his lovely days at the Gurukul, his mother's smile, his father's blessing, Veer's mischievous frowns, the princess of Niphaud and his Aryanagar home" 😭 whn yaaaaaaaaaayyyy the troups arrive.. I was jumping out in joy … 🥳

N I loved the way Bhim tricks Veer .. 😛 I like it that your villain if not a clown but a clever and dangerous enemy 👏 n tht dialogue abt war n battles was ironically true …

I liked the way you showed veer being exhausted after 2 days of continuous fighting… I like it that your heros are very very brave n strong warriors but are humans who get injured, exhausted n make mistakes not super heros 🤪

I am upset over veer being hurt "the prince finally drops unconscious to the ground, forced to bring his heroic saga to an end." 😭 bhuvi had to blow nose here again..waaaaahhhhhhh .... 😭

but I know he will be fit as a big pumpkin in part 20… 😆 maybe with Anus loving care… 😍 but I know u wont be as predictable as tht, will you ?? or maybe veer loses his memory n lives with anu happily ever after 😳 😆

I liked the obstinate Maharaj understanding tht his son n nephew had been right all along.. 😳

I liked shera taking care of those little kids.. 😳 This girl is soo perfect ..my darling she is 🤗

I liked the way you described the streets of aryanagar after riots

As you must have rightly guessed 😆 I did not like tht meeting between agni n shera.. I had to read it thrice before I realized it was ananya not another shramik girlfriend of agni 😲 .. I am still confused.. its ananya only naa ?? 😕

I did not like the way Shera was a little meek with him and for heavens sake prayed for his victory 😵 ..I loved the way she "overpowered by the cold expression in her deep unflinching eyes, stops to caution her instead" how dare tht sicko agni raise his hand on my ananya 😡 ..

Why is shera behaving like this lash ?? probably you have an extremely good explanation for it.. 😳 n why no pic of ananya in her pretty pink dress ??

before I forget to be nice to u... Loads of huuuuugssssssss for lovely lovely part 19 🤗

I immensely enjoyed this part lashu.. actually I liked it even better than part 18 😛 .. this part had everything drama..emotion...humour..suspense..danger.. n promise of a LOVELY part next 🥳

n now begins ur torment from me for posting part 20.. 😈 you can understand the reasons for my extra impatience and eagerness for part 20 cant u ? 😉 my reasons are (☺️❤️😳)
