To be precise, whatever TRP CID is getting is because of ACP Pradyuman, Daya, Abhijeet, and Dr. Salunkhe. They are the true faces of CID, and they are the only ones who are truly irreplaceable. The show cannot run without any of them. On the other hand, a large section of viewers wouldn’t really care if supporting characters like Purvi, Pankaj, or Sachin leave the show. So why not take the risk of making one of these characters the traitor? If Shreya can be portrayed as a traitor, then why not Purvi? If the show can run without characters like Muskan, Vivek, Tasha, Kajal, Tarika, Nikhil, Rajat etc... it can definitely continue without Purvi, Sachin, or Pankaj. And if the makers don’t want to remove any of the current og characters, they can even bring back someone from Season 1 and reveal him/her as the traitor, provided it’s backed by proper reasoning. Making Ayushman or any of the newer cast members the traitor won't have any real impact, because it’s too predictable. If the makers don’t have the guts to take risks, that’s their fault. Blaming the viewers for it is simply not justified.
Yeah so can it continue without Avni and Gargi. Nobody even likes them. Atleast Purvi acts like an actual female police officer. Pankaj brings laughter element and has grown as a police officer. I have a feeling they want to make Salunke the culprit. He has been an important part of CID for so long. They should not try such stunts.
If Bali ka bakra hi banana hai toh OG cast ko kyun hath lagana. This bhoomi is only likeable in the new officers. So they could keep her!
And how can Daya trust Avni more than Abhijeet.
She keeps asking questions, yeh aise kyun woh vaise kyun in recent episode. She is trying to be in Daya's good books! Gargi bhi gives vibes of hiding something.
Purvi is better than both of them combined. So why sacrifice a good police officer to give some stupid twist to the viewers that anyway no one cares about.
Pankaj to chance hi nahi. CID ka sara fun element nikal jayega without him.
