Just got the buzz of this a few days ago and I can't say I ain't excited. Just want Netflix to maintain as much authenticity as they can from the books.
With diversity in case to most of the important aspects of the story.

I am crossing my arms and legs hoping they’ll stick to the story and not deviate and create something out of their back pocket. I’m hoping the author will be involved and ensure that they don’t steer the storyline in a different direction.

Not fond of books turning into movies because they deviate so much from the books and don’t stay true to them 😂 I hope the author is involved in the making of these.
Are they similarly close to the cast you imagined for the characters? Seem decent looking though and most can pass as college students. IMO I think Garrett one looks kinda old 😂
Idk can’t say if they’re similar or not. We’ll see how well they do. But just by the looks I feel like the guy who’s cast as Justin should’ve been Dean. Dean looks too soft. But yeah we’ll see. I’m partial to The Deal so I hope they pull that one off okay 🤞🏼Originally posted by: Queen0fDarkness

Hopefully. I hope these lot can act, never seen them before in any shows or movies I’ve watched.
Passionflix started creating movies of books and kept true to them by doing every scene and event but the actors were not IT which was so disappointing given they’ve recreated a few of my favourites.
I loved Hannah and Garrett’s story, especially their banter. I hope it’s good so I can watch one of my favourite books come to life 😂

I never got around to it, unfortunately. The girl who was cast as Hannah looks a little bit like Florence Hunt though (Hyacinth on Bridgerton).
Also, I'm pretty sure they're all supposed to be around the same age, and none of these actors look the slightest bit close in age.
Oh yeah, I subscribed to Passionflix for a month and was sorely disappointed. Although they did remain faithful to the book’s storyline, the actors were bad. Except for Emma Chase’s Tangled, I don’t think any of the adaptations were worth watching.Originally posted by: Queen0fDarkness

Yes, The Deal is still my favorite so I’m holding out the most hope for that one. But also keeping my expectations low after seeing what they did to Bridgerton. I think that if any big streaming platform is involved, we can forget about having a faithful adaptation. They’re going to tweak this.
