yes some of these burhaan nashwa shippers are her fans but some were sort of neutrals. When she got married to Amaar and said those two dialogues, they lost their sh$t. Even though that shaadi was in the teasers. they gave a perfect opportunity to haters to drag the show, who were ready to jump on the hate train. There were 4-5 woke queens ( read other actors Stan’s ) who were nitpicking on QEJ from the beginning,. But I think it’s coming close to climaxe so it’s alright. Hopefully it’ll end on a high note.
Agli bar really will watch something just by self and I cannot discuss as you saw what happens when I share my unique views lol. I spent so much time defending and explaining myself that discussion ka maza chala gaya. I was excited after the first scene of the first episode because it seemed like a mystery thriller. And we were actually pleasantly surprised. With all the twists and turns. I'm still hooked. And I know there is one last big thing that the writer set up from all the clues we gathered.
Also an appreciation post below!
And I really want to appreciate Nameer he owned the last 2 episodes especially 28. The huge range of emotions were phenomenal that took place in such a short timespan. He was able to make his eyes speak. No reaction was too loud or overdone. Here we only talk about who Nashwa should end up with or how grey Burhan or Nashwa is but honestly Nameer killed it with Ammar. He had all the neutrals at hello...I mean at the cafeteria just hooked with such a mysterious character (it did stall a bit with the continuous smoking- but that's who he is). Totally got him, felt for him, got scared of him, felt heartbroken for him, hated him, repulsed and disgusted yet intrigued by him, felt that there is no excuse no matter the childhood trauma, hoped for him to reach out for help to his mom or Nashwa when offered and hoped it wasn't true because of certain huge hints from characters actions, writer and actor and mainly wanted him punished for whatever his involvement but also wanted to see due process and proof.
At the end , we realize despite having a vulnerable side or love for family, nothing takes away from the worst crime whether enabling or hindering it. We realize that enablers do not live in isolation rather in our ird gird and they can be deeply complexed, emotional and good to others but indifferent or cruel to a few. it is inspite of our feelings that we stand for what is right!
Rabia did the best job with Ammar, Bakhtiyar, dado and Burhan! And I know there is a twist coming to explain it at least all most everything if not all.
Yumna always does great. But this one stood out to me for the senior actors incredible acting. And Nameer as well. I hope he works on his urdu to make it more sharp. His Punjabi accent sometimes peaks through though Saqib did a good job of covering most it. I hope he learns to voice modulate. It's a do or die for his career. He got better and better and totally became his character by each passing episode. I think any drama and character that's appreciated by the neutrals are the main source of approval. No one is supporting Ammar outright but really enjoying his character. Only a few groups that think of themelves as moral perfect queens are confusing the appreciation as endorsement lol. They need to be enrolled back in grade 6 English class to learn character analysis again and a separation from reel and reality lol.
I might get bashed here for saying this but based on the reaction online and critics and everyone else, Ammar being good or bad, evil or indifferent or whatever did overshadow the good guy not because he is a bad boy but because there was something mysterious and everyone in the back of their mind can feel something is missing and something is coming. Good or bad. It captivated people. This was on writer and actor to make Burhan even more present. But I guess Rabia has her reasons. I don't agree to a lot of her views or writing ( like nikah being a magical fix - then why did Bisma never love Behzad - because love is love - you love whom you love).
