Interesting discussion.

Here are my thoughts.

1. ALL the characters on the show seem to be deliberately loosely written. They HAVE to he shown to "follow" Anupama's inspiration because any other independent character will steal her (Anupama's) thunder.

Khyati was working with Parag, she knew the conditions before marriage (having worked as his PA), Meeta knew the same. Both were never shown to fuss about their lives. Infact, Meeta's only "concern" was that Anil doesn't get the respect, appreciation and recognition he deserves and that he is too meek to demand. Gayathri (Parag's first wife) was shown to be a happy homemaker. So, even if there was a problem, it was never discussed. How do we expect "miraculous changes"?

Agree With @InsaneDivine. Anupama's one bhashan did not have to be a catalyst for ganging up against Kotharis.

2. What have the Anupama certified "supportive men" on the show that is Hansmukh and Prem done to "stop" the cycle of abuse?

If they so much so knew whatever is happening in their household was wrong, what did they do to stop further occurrences and implement a change?

Hansmukh knew Leela's, Vanraj's anmol ratna's nature, he realised, Anupama was abused. But he was conspicuous With his absence everytime and infact enabled the wrongdoings.

Prem knew women in their house were caged, unhappy, never celebrated their birthdays, why did he not speak up for them. If he disliked Khyati, what stopped him from standing up for Meeta, Prarthana or even celebrate Vasundhara's Birhday, even privately? He knew Prarthana had GREAT business acumen, she was forced into a marriage and she was unhappy in her marriage, why did he not stop the marriage, fight his family to handover the business to her or gather evidences against Gautam to help get her freedom? He avoided her every call, is now showing an attitude. Sorry but this is by far the most annoying character have come across.

And who are the villains? Parag? Anil? Why? Their spouses did not discuss their sufferings? So, the many posts of:

Khyati-Parag make a cute couple and have shown graceful romance.

Meeta also looks younger than the leads etc.

have done the trick.

Anupama made a public spectacle of their crisis and effectively broken a peaceful home.

I agree with both your points. Doosre point pe to mein bht zyada agree karti hoon..jitni nafrat mere dil mein prem character k ly barh rhi hai bus kiya e btaoon. Na gussa karna ata hai, na romance, na normal hello bolna ata hai. Ufffff... Kahan se utha kar laaye hain ise??

Lekiiiiinnn... I kind of not agree that anupama is responsible for breaking the home. Bhaee aapne apne ghar mein, in absence of anupama, apne bete or bahu k khilaaf saazish ki. Now that beta is taking stand for his wife or ghar chor kar jarha hai, to how anupama is responsible? The only person responsible is vasundara and then people who are enabling her like Parag, gautam etc. han anupama k drama karna yeh wo sab faltu hai, but agar neutral point of view se sochen, to ese ghar nhn baste jahan saazishein hoti hon.

Hmm, what has Parag done? Parag did call out his mother that burning the letter was wrong. He doesn't want to pamper his son and give in to his whims and fancies.

In our world, Families like Shahs and Kotharis are both wrong. Ghar tootte hn Gharwalon se hi.

But fact yeh bhi hn ki chingaari bhadkaane wala bhi utna hi galat hota hn. People like Anupama (who themselves are abusers, classic example are Kinjal, Adhik) sirf Tamasha banate hn aur nikal lete hn. They are not supporters or anything. We have seen her actions in the past. Ek bhi "event" ya celebration bina iske meaningless bhashan ya Tamashe hua hn kabhi. Aur uss Tamashe ke baad kuch badalta hn, nahin.

Ofcourse it is upto people like Khyati, Anil and Meeta to get influenced or not and how much to be influenced. And to know when and how to deal with it their situation rather than leaving it like a public spectacle. Because kewal Tamashe se kuch change nahin hota. None of them discussed their woes in the past and did not even try to bring about a change in their lives and expected things to happen and now when they saw an ongoing crisis, they wanted "behti Ganga me haath dhona".

@bold - Very true... Baat Rahi aur Prem k saath galat hone ki thi and they all brought all their matters and their never discussed grudges to the forefront.

They all behaved like Anupamaa yesterday under her guidance. Ek k saath galat hua toh sabko apna troma yaad aa gaya... ek saath... Iske pehle bhi sab maze mein the... and in the future also maze mein rahenge ... Anupamaa bhi apna troma yaad karke hi bhashan de rahi jo ki woh hamesha karti hai... Parag aur Anil ki galti yeh hai that they fed & took care of their wives well which is their traditional role, only to one day out of the blue publically know that their wives are feeling caged.... Aur waise us saste Salman Khan Raja ko toh seedhe thappad hi maar diya, all for being chilled out and saying ki jisko jo karna hai kare.. He gave the most practical advice without bringing up some ancient troma.... Women still had the freedom to speak. He was not even allowed to say a word and was thrown on floor. Him even speaking a word came as a shock...
