I'm a hardcore Bachchan fan: Rajeev

Actors from the small screen have often jumped onto the Bollywood bandwagon and doing the same is Rajeev Khandelwal. The difference is that this debutante has already experienced fame in television.

How do you feel at the threshold of being judged, but this time in films?

Rajeev Khandelwal: I am superbly excited. I am waiting for the verdict to be out. I am waiting for the outcome for which we have been working for the last one-year. Somehow, I am not nervous.

You are pitting against Sarkar Raj. Your film is coming out on the same day. What do you think will make the viewer watch your film?

Rajeev Khandelwal: We are not pitted against Sarkar Raj. Sarkar Raj is too big a film. I would not remotely think that we would give competition to anyone. I am happy that my film will come out at the see day when Mr Bachchan's film will come out. I am a hardcore Mr Bachchan fan.

It is also a remake of an Indonesian film. Did you actually watch the film? Did UTV buy the rights?

Rajeev Khandelwal: This film was written much before that film was released. It is just a coincident that the two films have a similar theme.

We heard that you sorted out your differences with Ekta Kapoor and you called her for your premiere.

Rajeev Khandelwal: There is no question of ending anything. It never started. It was important for me to tell publicly that she has been sending me good wishes and I am also hoping that her film does well. So yes, I did request her for the premiere.
