Even before the pandemic, there had been (paid) negative campaigns against certain movies/actors/actresses via social media. Reviews anyways mostly are biaised or paid. I suppose that even only very few professional reviewers give a trustworthy review.

Personally, I like Baradwaj Rangan's reviews (which I often read a f t e r having watched the movie because mostly, they contain spoilers. Sometimes, I read them beforehand when I know about the story like I did with Sky Force.

It's not enough to take a south movie and remake it.

It is important who is making that remake.If you are remaking a south movie then get a director also from south preferablythe same director.

Well, the director of Deva i s the same director who directed the Malayalam original Mumbai Police (12 years before).
