As I've faith in Shahid's skills as an actor, I won't 'credit' any failure to him... nevertheless, I think he should consider the choices he makes...

Watched Deva today. And to put it in a nutshell, Dev was basically Kabir Singh on crack! It’s an action packed movie with suspense that was engaging. I had avoided all the reviews/articles on this movie so the ending was a surprise for me.

Shahid Kapoor walked, talked, and breathed Dev. He lived this character! I don’t know how he does such justice to playing these unhinged characters, but he sure does! Dev was unpredictable, fearless, and basically mafia in a police uniform! Loved watching Shahid in all the action!

Pooja, unfortunately, was a waste in this movie. She was barely present and didn’t leave any significant mark. I thought Diya and Dev’s love story came out of nowhere and the makers just sprung it on us just because they had to have a love story in there somewhere. It was too rushed for me and therefore kinda unbelievable.

The songs, I didn’t care for. Not my style.

But overall, it was a good movie to watch. Action-packed and suspense. I just wish Shahid didn’t choose characters that smoked SO. MUCH!!!🤦🏽‍♀️
