If by the end of this Sadaf says, I am going to stand by my husband no matter what because he is my husband and they show that as the right thing, then it is regressive. Fitoor did that and I found that very regressive.
Ammar here isnāt being glorified in any way. Even though he pities himself, no one else feels that for him because he hasnāt been portrayed in a way to gain sympathy. Iāve even seen people question the writing when Ammar is upset that Sadaf ate dinner at 11pm while heās with Dania. I was fuming over Ammar as Iām sure most people were. Of course it doesnāt make sense but it does to Ammar. He self-victimizes and gaslights Sadaf. My friendās husband left her for another woman and blamed her for it. Scummy guys like this exist.
I also feel like some of these reviewers have some valid criticism for the show but become nitpicky about weird things. Like I watched a bit of that KDH show and they questioned why Zaviyaarās said that jaagayi line about Sadaf. He was saying she finally woke up but they were like, how does he know anything, only Farzana knows about the affair. I mean he can see his sister isnāt happy, her husband doesnāt come home until late at night when sheās waiting for him. He can to the very least see that she is being disrespected and is unhappy. Isnāt that enough?
