The thing Is he is not even a good villain. He does bad things and then cry like a victim. And people love to watch good villain, but not a pathetic cry baby who literally cries like a victim after slapping his wife.Ammar is like a rat that no one wants to be in presence of

will ayeza khan delete all posts of MPTH just bcoz of criticism?

this is what i'm saying. SMD won't be SMD without ammar. usama should own it.

you are talking like ammar is a black character and sadaf is white character. but this is not the reality if watch it as a neutral viewer.

No matter how bad people think Sadaf is because she dared to reject Bilal but She hasn't harmed anyone. The irony is you are comparing Sadaf with an abuser.Nothing to discuss more.

One thing I noticed is that people, especially reviewers want characters to always act logically when in reality people don’t. Is the right and most logical thing for Sadaf to do is to leave Ammar? Yes Sadaf should have left. Yes she’s educated and isn’t financially dependent on Ammar like some other women are. I think it’s one thing to be frustrated with her character…even Bilal Abdullah is 😂 But it doesn’t mean that it makes no sense and this is an impossible scenario. People don’t always make logical decisions especially when they’re in vulnerable situations. It happens all the time. It doesn’t mean the writing in itself is regressive. If by the end of this Sadaf says, I am going to stand by my husband no matter what because he is my husband and they show that as the right thing, then it is regressive. Fitoor did that and I found that very regressive.

Ammar here isn’t being glorified in any way. Even though he pities himself, no one else feels that for him because he hasn’t been portrayed in a way to gain sympathy. I’ve even seen people question the writing when Ammar is upset that Sadaf ate dinner at 11pm while he’s with Dania. I was fuming over Ammar as I’m sure most people were. Of course it doesn’t make sense but it does to Ammar. He self-victimizes and gaslights Sadaf. My friend’s husband left her for another woman and blamed her for it. Scummy guys like this exist.

I also feel like some of these reviewers have some valid criticism for the show but become nitpicky about weird things. Like I watched a bit of that KDH show and they questioned why Zaviyaar’s said that jaagayi line about Sadaf. He was saying she finally woke up but they were like, how does he know anything, only Farzana knows about the affair. I mean he can see his sister isn’t happy, her husband doesn’t come home until late at night when she’s waiting for him. He can to the very least see that she is being disrespected and is unhappy. Isn’t that enough?

Even if I may think Usama is lacklustre, I also believe his character is not main lead material. It’s not because he’s negative but because of how pathetic he is. His scenes don’t warrant so much screen time because they have been repetitive especially his scenes with Dania. If something was happening then maybe. They didn’t need to stretch those scenes so much.

Yes the entire Sadaf , Ammar and Dania track which ran for 8 episodes after Sadaf marriage had most of repetitive not needed stuff, mostly added to increase episode which could have hardly taken 4 episodes else drama main theme is mainly about Sadaf and Bilal. Sadaf who doesn’t recognise love and to be easy going marries the guy of her level who claims to love him and tries best to make the relationship work and on other hand Bilal, a playboy kind of person due to his past trauma falls in true love of Sadaf and in her love leaves all his bad habits, changes his general thinking regarding women and tries to become a better person and also starts actually living the life rather than just spending it, gets to live real life with a friend cum brother like Zaviyar and was on track to get Sadaf in his life but upon getting rejected he does feel broken but ensures that his love Sadaf gets all her love and happiness in her life. Seeing the Sadaf happiness he still had the strength to stand firmly and doesn’t move to drinking. He was in one way happy with Sadaf being happy but when things were out and he got to know that Sadaf is actually living miserable life and making herself low just to make her husband happy and make relationship work he totally breaks and falls back to drinking. The stretch and extremely slow pace mainly seems because of geo policy to make more episodes which doesn’t work in this kind of drama.

SMD doesn't glorify the problematic things it highlights it is just the direction has been so lackluster that they have failed to forward the message.

i'm enjoying the show and all the characters and i take it as a show only.

people who want to criticise can keep criticising. people who want to fight over it can keep fighting. it's their choice smiley24

i enjoy watching all characters including ammar, hamsha, dania and sadaf etc.

bilal is a bit boring for me but he is fine too. i don't have a problem with any character.

all actors are doing a great job smiley20

well, we all enjoy different type of shows. I like QEJ, it has solid story but it might not be everyone's cup of tea and that's okay. Well for me, SMD is not working and everyone is at fault. My complaint is I came to see Wahaj , he is barely in it. Chalo, hopefully they end it well but keeping my hopes super low.

everyone enjoys bashing it. some people do it for views, some people do it as an amusement. and wahaj's fan do it for his less screenspace. everyone has their own reasons to criticise it.

i personally like watching something unique and intense whether is a bit controversial/grey-shaded. people who prefer R-rated shows/movies will like it. this show is not for PG-13 audience.

this is a path-breaking show in its own way.

]lmao this is what they consider Controversial?PTV legit romanticise Marital r@pe and physical abuse by heroes to heroines.Latest example is Tere Bin.I didn't see whole industry and actors coming together to bich about it?SMD has terrible direction but it doesn't glorify the bad things it shows. It would have been glorification if Sadaf had to marry Bilal in exchange of 8cr and fell in love with him after marriage but it doesn't.Every problematic advice given to Sadaf by others have led her to trouble.I think Smd is quite liberal minus the inconsistent writings of the characters.
