The new promo has left me disappointed. It seems that Sony TV is doing it only for TRP. "YSPT" Ye sab plan tha technique. In the last few years of season 1, CID had completely downgraded. Especially after 2013 it went from bad to worse. I hope in Season 2 they bring back the old script writers and screenplay writers like Rajat Arora and Sridhar Raghavan. Who wrote CID in classic era (1998 till 2004)

You are correct. But there may be budget constraint for the production house to employ good script writers. CID's downfall began when they began focusing on Characters more rather than Story and Script. CID include some unnecessary characters. I'm not against any artists. I like all, but I'm talking about characters. Abhijeet is a courageous, brilliant and honest CID Officer. Dr.Tarika is also an efficient Forensic Expert. But she is a no match to Abhijeet (Fans please forgive me, I am only expressing my view.) because both the characters are not matching. Abhijjeet is a tuff cop (a semi version of Pradhyuman) and Tarika is a friendly and fun loving character. During the year 2008, Abhijeet had a love interest named Shruthi (His Friend's wife who thought to be dead but in original it was not). She was a perfect match for Abhijeet due to her nature. Like wise, the character of Shreya was a no no match for Daya. I like the actress who portrayed the character of Shreya but I really hate the character. The makers should have developed her character. The character was like that of a daily soap opera character.

I don't think they have budget constraints. Sony is a huge channel. They are producing so many shows like Indian Idol and KBC. If they can spend money on them, then why can't they spend on CID and get good writers / directors. Obviously the writers / directors won't charge more than Amit Ji in KBC or Shreya and Vishal in Indian Idol 😂
