I really hope that Wahaj has more screen time going forward and it’s not a Mein situation again. Many are watching this show only cos of him. I did predict that screen time would be divided with so many characters

I enjoyed the second episode much more than the first tbh. Yesterday the friends group annoyed me and I felt the acting was horrible but today I warmed up to them a little? And I think it’s mostly thanks to Saba Hameed taking charge of that Ammar dilemma. She has great screen presence. One good thing KRQ does is that he gives wholesome family dynamic in some form. In Gentleman it was Zarnab and her dad and here it’s Sadaf and her mom. So I didn’t mind the division of screen time. It made sense to me and Wahaj had plenty of scenes where he shined. For me he owns the screen whenever he comes and leaves a lasting impact. I loved the sober scene he had with Ammar. The car scene with Namdaar Mirza. I felt his hurt and embarrassment. Then the long talk with his other girlfriend (that actress played his sister in Fitoor, by the way
). And then how he nailed the emotions in the graveyard. I did wish the graveyard scene was longer. But that’s about it.
For me the real appeal in the show is obviously Wahaj and as much as I’m enjoying his performance, I’m not going to get greedy about it because it IS an ensemble cast and the story has to make sense too. And Sadaf has a whole muhalla of family and friends around her. And we know her marriage to Ammar is the first phase of the story so that will be set up.
Excited for Humsha to join the story next week. Bilal really needs someone now. Someone to talk to who doesn’t judge him. Bilal Abdullah, despite his many vices, just makes you feel so bad for him. Wahaj is really nailing this role. His styling is on point also. So far he’s the constant thing that’s working for me.
