You would be surprised at how desperate some people get when they desire someone. Like one guy I knew (a really bright ISRO scientist who was doing his PhD in Physics) who was looking into rishtas, one of the rishta was going very well and it almost went up to an engagement but he broke it off at the last moment because he thought they were incompatible. I asked him the reason and he told me that all she used to talk about was how their house would, where their honeymoon would be, where they would live - all according to her own plans while he was looking forward to sharing his intellect and thoughts about research because she was an IITian in Physics - basic incompatibility and inability to communicate with each other despite being a perfect match on paper. You know what happened? She stalked him online for 2 years and kept sabotaging each and every one of his prospective relations, contacting his prospective fiancees or their parents online and making exaggerated claims on intimacy and stuff, basically defaming him. It stopped only when he moved Cyber Police against her because the last near-fiancee did not believe her and she threatened to throw acid on her. Just think about it. So highly educated from an IIT and still no common sense. My acquaintance did not get married to the last girl (seems like they were not going to move ahead with that anyways but this chudail just worsened the situation) but he is now happily married to another girl. What happened to that girl, I dunno, but it scares me to think about someone like her.

oh my goodness .... this is so scary ... literally got goosebumps

I am no longer in regular contact with the guy (still is there in my FB and other social media contacts) but my god, that was one incidence I still think about sometimes.

True. You can never predict from where you might actually meet a psycho or something like that. Worst, most of times they are not what they seem. You really can not make out.
