Yes I can understand 6000 years had passed. But post Mahabharata, Ashwatthama was staying in confinement, didn't see anyone at all, so I thought he should have remembered the face of his "Friend" (which in reality Karna was never of Ashwatthama. Both were close friends of Duryodhan, Karna maybe closer to him among the two but with each other they were loggerheads, fought multiple times when Duryodhan had to mediate telling them that both are very dear to him and that they shouldn't make him take sides here also if they fight each other that would mean that Duryodhan will lose.) Or at least feel like I have seen him somewhere, but maybe 6000 years is a huge time, we will never know how much people will remember post that.
@green, you really thought Bhairava to be Duryodhana?? That would have been a huge twist. Kali demon realising that he has made people so corrupt that even he can't handle his era. So he himself comes to repent by helping Vishnu avtaar with Ashwatthama.
Waise I still hope that they should get Kamal Hasan as Duryodhan.
Second part maybe tricky as they can't have Prabhas as second lead nor can they show Kalki as a second lead,.so really want to see how they will take it, I think either Kalki will remain a child and Bhairav+Ashwatthama his arms with he only killing the final Kamal Hasan or else something twisted can happen.
Maybe just like Ashwatthama killed Parikshit in Uttara's womb for him to be resurrected by Krishna, probably Kalki will be killed by Kamal Hasan in Sumati's womb,(Kalki can come onto earth only in a specific Nakshatra, if there is a delay then He will need to wait for 6000 more years) and Ashwatthama will then somehow resurrect the child using the body of Bhairava,(Bhairav might sacrifice himself for him when getting a chance either fight for Kalki or enter the complex thereby taking the side of Dharma unlike Karna) so Kalki would then use Bhairav's body. In that way we can have both Kalki and Karna by Prabhas, else it will look very poor.
BTW Nag Ashwin said that although he hadn't thought initially but seeing the public response he might consider bringing Dulqar Salman back as Parashuram. What was your opinion about his camero? Why do you think he betrayed Bhairav

But i guess from the average moviegoer's pov and most gen z and gen alpha kids don't know anything about MB (most of the audience in the theatre were confused when they saw the first scene) so maybe the Karn introduction was for them....but that was SO BAD!
Yes the moment Ashwatthama mentioned his friend my mind immediately went to Dury , it would have been a nice arc for Dury to be a good guy in kaliyug
Some say that DQ is Parashuram since Bhairav is Karn but i didn't care that much about the cameo so no comments
Yeah even i think that Kali would kill Kalki in womb and Ashwatthama will somehow resurrect him
