Urmila Matondkar insists that feuding brothers Jatin-Lalit should bury the hatchet and make music together again. Will the brothers take her advice?
Music director Jatin Pandit who had split from his brother Lalit Pandit a couple of years ago wants to patch up with his brother and put an end to the problems between them. Jatin and Lalit who are both part of the TV show Waar Parivaar, which is hosted by Urmila Matondkar, have tried to solve their differences while judging the show.
Admitting that it was he who initiated the patch up, Jatin says, "Urmila, who is the host of the show Waar Parivaar, told me that we brothers should end our differences and again make the music that we used to. I told her I am keen to patch up but I need to speak to Lalit first. I told her, 'Aap hi milan karva dijiye.' In fact, she helped us take the first step and Lalit and I hugged each other."
Both Jatin-Lalit started their career with Yaara Dildara in 1991 and came in the news for the super hit music of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Later, the two went on to give music in many a hit films including Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Khamoshi, Mohabbatein, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Hum Tum and the recent Fanaa. However, both the brothers started having personal differences during the making of Fanaa in which they worked last together.
When we asked Jatin if there is reconciliation on the cards he says, ""Yes there may be reconciliation. But it depends on Lalit and I am waiting for an answer from his end. I really want to patch up with him. But things are on a delicate note right now. We need to sit together and amicably talk about the differences that we have had. I am hopeful that the matter will be solved soon."
"We still need to speak about it. It is not good that we two have been fighting. I do not wish to get into the blame game and figure who was right and who was wrong. I guess it's enough and we should get back together. When two brothers separate, there are a lot of problems and everybody in the family gets disturbed. It should not happen. I need the love that we shared at one point in time," he adds.
While Jatin is keen on patching up with his younger brother, Lalit simply says, "Am I not even supposed to hug my brother when I meet him at public places? The fact of the matter is that he is doing his own work and I am doing mine. But there is no patch up happening on the professional front. It will happen when it has to. We have never spoken about the dispute. Right now nothing is solved."
