Coming to think of this, Wife’s elder sister is technically Saali , why am I somehow feeling happy with this realisation 😂🤣

On a serious note, the husband usually addresses her the same way as the wife. So if the wife calls her didi “didi”, so would the husband.

If there were multiple didis this could then be a series of Borodi (Bordi), Mejodi(Mejdi), Chhordi(chhotodi)

just like in case of elder brothers - boroda(borda), mejod(mejda), chhorda(chhotoda)

Boro abbreviated as Bor means big

Mejo abbreviated as Mej means middle

Chhoto abbreviated as Chhor means small

Da / Di is abbreviation for Dada and Didi
