 This outsider vs insider debate started mainly after KWK or it was still there in Bollywood inside circle.

The insider benefits or nepotism is highly exaggerated. It's the sheep effect. If you have potential producers will invest in you, if you don't it doesn't matter whose son/daughter you are, they won't. 

How do you explain Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Sid Malhotra, John Abraham and many others getting offers after countless flops & no acting skills early in their career? While Fardeen, Tushar, Vivek, Abhishek, Emraan being dumped after a bad patch? 

The outsider/insider stuff always existed along with another phrase that has now lost Lustre.....Godfather. You didn't need a father, you needed a Godfather in the 90s.
