Okay, lots to say about the episode... Despite only having 3 scenes stretched like a bubblegum... I was pleasantly surprised.

The theme of the Episode: Confusion, Acceptance, and Longing

Episode continues from the scene where J is made to wear the set SK gave her. Chotti chamchi no.1 Rumi talks shit again and is shut up by J.

"kyun, kyunki muje taufa mila?? Jwelery mujhe suit nahi karti, vaise mere liye mehengi cheezein nahi bana"

SK and Tanuja talk shit. TMW asks if someone else wants to give blessings. Chotton steps up. Tells her about his chotta sa wristwatch gift and asks her not to cry as it's a good day for rituals. Basus as usual overreact. He asks Ani if he is not going to bless J. To prevent that from happening, SK asks that Taklu uncle does it first as the Honewala Illegeal pati. TMW and JK insist.

J forcibly gets to be blessed by Taklu uncle. The way JK said Avinash Babu... *ewww*

Then comes Ani, the amount of talking done through the eyes... Tum dono kabhi kabar muu se bhi achi tarah se baat kiya karo yaar!

Anyway, the song selection for the scene is so good. Jhanak's eyes tear up as Ani approaches.

Ye laal ishq, Ye malaal ishq, Ye aib ishq, Ye bhair ishq

From Jhanak's POV, an incomplete, all-encompassing, flawed, and anguishing love for Ani is overflowing and very visible from her eyes and tears. This love is her enemy in a way...

SK comments on how she is not here to stay forever and asks her to get over the rasam.

Then we see the song play from Ani's POV

Ani is willing to stop this night, this dark time, bring about the day and some brightness in her life.... and is pleading in so many ways through his eyes to her to stop this sham... Bas ek baar Jhanak bole ki ye shaadi na ho, he'll move the world to stop it from happening.

He also laments how the circumstances and in parts himself have made her an enemy and stand on the opposite side... neither has Jhanak been herself, nor he. All because of this flawed, incomplete, and anguishing love that is consuming their lives right now.

The way Jhanak cried and fell on his feet as if accepting him as her everything... and her tears alerted Ani to her state. Beautiful... Jhanak knows this is probably one of the last times she can openly approach Ani like this.

And to top this Taklu uncle says "Lagta hai aaj pranam katam nahi hoga, yahan sabe ye aapka hi sabse zyada izzat karti hai"

No talks about the ravings of the Kardashians.

I teared up a little bit when Jhanak broke down as Ani slowly caressed her cheeks and told her.

"Kush rehna Jhanak... tum baas kush rehna"

The helplessness she feels all the while knowing she cannot fulfill her promise to Ani and accepting it.

Kudos Hiba and Krushal... You guys really blew it out of the park.

Appu di is so soft and innocent, that she blurts out how it would have been better had Ani married Jhanak... enraging everyone else.

Anyways, Ashirwad rasam ends there...

Then we start with Haldi, thank god!

J is brought down as she sees Ani watching her from above. Haldi... *Coughs* Exorcism session begins...

Chotton sees Ani and calls him to ask what happened.

The amount of mental Gymnastics Ani did in this scene..

"Mujhe kuch nahi hua chotton.."

Chotton is not having it. He is Ani's baap lol. Of course he probes further...

"Kyun bura lagega... Mein yehi chahta tha, ki Jhanak ko ek acha ladka(?) mil jaaye??"

How delusional. He gives all material reasons that doesn't matter at all.

When Chotton probes him further if this is what Ani wants... his reply is all telling.

"Usse kyaa farq padta hai?? Jhanak kaunsa meri kehne pe chalne wali hai??"

Ani babu, tum ek baar bholke dekho, kyaa pata?? Indirectly telling us and Chotton this isn't what he wants. Deflection people.

Chotton then explains to him how Jhanak agreed to marry for the sake of leaving from this house where everyone berates her and makes her life a hell. Ani ke reply ko dekho... Delusion se puri paagal ho chuka hai babu...

"Shayad"

Oi tere Jooti.

He then tells that Jhanak always insisted on leaving ever since she came here upon Chotton asking him whether he doesn't trust the reason. Rahul ka bhoot savaar ho gaya.. In this rate, he'll mass convert everyone to Rahul's premi and Premika starting with Chotton... How dedicated he is to Rahul man... If he had this much dedication to Jhanak half the story will be over.

"Mein sirf itna janta hoon ki usse kisi kesaat affair tha..."

"Apko kaisa oata hai??Meine ankhon se dekha hai.. Rahul naam hai uska. Wo dono ek saat padte te... Jabtak Rahul padayi poora nahi kardeta na... uska job mahi milega. Vahan unpar strict surviellance hai..."

Itni kabar kahan se aati hai Ani babu ko? Is he in secret contact with Rahul that we don't know of? Lag tho nahi raha...

"Mein chahti nahi ki wo yahan se jaaye..."

His heart's true desire.. he doesn't want to let Jhanak go.

He then adds now that Taklu uncle is here, J is not worrying.... But as I said, Chotton tho Ani ka Baap hai... he bluntly points out how he is worried despite saying otherwise. He pleads with Ani to put himself in J's shoes... but nope.

"Mein Jhanak ki jagah nahi hoon... uski ye faisla aag mein khudne ki barabar hai..."

This is the reason I dislike Ani. He doesn't understand Jhanak's compulsions and doesn't want too either. And keeps asking J to fight for herself. Uggh. SO frustrating.

At least He brought up the point they didn't check Taklu uncle's BG and now know her career is over and reasons this is why he is feeling bad.

Chotton insists that they got married for real, and it should affect him at some level for him to feel bad.

"Chotton Aap kya bhol rahe ho? Mein Arshi se pyaar Karti hoon aur hum dono ki shaadi honewali hai kuch dino mein.."

"Mere aur Jhanak beech jo kuch hua tha wo aik drama tha, usse bachana zarrori tha"

Denial and defense mechanism, that's all there is to it. He is trying to prevent the pain in his eyes from spilling over through his words too.

Chotton's reply/advice only puts him into more denial.

"Zindagi ki drama mein sabse badi such chupa hota hai Ani, usse bas janne ki zarrorat hoti hai.."

"Meri Zindagi mein aisa kuch nahi hai.. Aapko kya lagta hai"

The way his eyes flitted all across the room except looking at the source of the words... Ani Babu is in denial. He just wants to compartmentalize everything so that the pain doesn't overpower his already half-functioning brain. A part of him also wants Chotton to spell out the truth as if he is the magician that'll make everything come true.

Chotton finally relents and says he is going down and wants to take him along.... Ani keeps refusing as tears form in his eyes...

"Jhanak... woh chali jayegi"

"Mera Mann nahi hai chotton.."

How will you have the heart to see the one you love getting married to someone else...?? The unshed tears tell all the story we need to know from you.

"Kyun?? Jisse pyaar karta hai.. wo bhi neeche hain"

"Kyaa?"

The way Ani's head flipped to the side... he knows Chotton knows. Terrified but also eager to hear the name he wants to hear... but alas.

"Arshi... Arshi se pyaar karta hain na tu... dekh! wo saj dajkar sundar lag rahi hai..."

The disappointment Ani had in his face, the stoic silence as Chotton took Jhanak's name is very telling.

Chotton still pushes him to come down and asks why he hasn't gone to office today.

"Jhanak ki shaadi meri zimmedari, waise bhi kaal se mein free ho jaunga... Jhanak ko lekaar wo kaam tha nahi rahega "

Oye Zimmedari ki Aulad. Tum aone muu band kar, aur neeche jao. The pain in his voice man... he doesn't want to be free from this love, from Jhanak or anything related to her...

Chotton only laughs at his response, triggering Ani to ask him why...

"Kuch batein unkahi teekhai, na mein, na tum, andar hi rakte hain"

True, very true. Not everything is meant to be told out loud. Ani needs to realize his love himself. He is smart boi and best boi

He then forces Ani to come down with him citing Arshi, but Ani baba to Jhanak ko pakadkar bait gaya...

"Wahan dekhne ke liye kuch nahi hai... Apko kya lagta hai? Mein sabh kuch kada hokar dekhta rahoonga kyaa?"

Ani boi is pissed and frustrated as hell. He is scared that ki ye kuch kar na baite... But he did stand like a kambha in the Ashirwad rasam.

After Chotton convinces him that he wants some company, Ani finally relents, and they both go down together.

While this uncle-nephew talk is going upstairs, the ladies starts forming a circle around J and dance for the Haldi/Exorcism. Thank goodness no more howling after that... For a min I thought this was a werewolf ritual.

I think the song is from Saathiya... Naina Milaike... typical haldi song.

Sudhbudh koi hosh udaiye, Joo mantar kar dene

Explaining the situation between Ani and Jhanak, how they have lost their senses as their eyes speak their own language in a world only with those two.

One thing I have to say the song selection is good!

Appu di comes near JK once performance is done and asks if she is happy that J is leaving and calls her TMW2.

Bodomaa comes and asks her to go to Ani, she comes to him and tells him JK is happy seeing J go.

SK and JK come and complain about Appu di to Ani.

Ani explains that she is just pure of heart and speaks whatever comes to mind. JK tells Appu di commented that She(JK) is happy J is going... and

Ani asks her "sach bolo, tum kush hai kya??"

Baba, ye kaisa behuda sawal hai??
