Darlings had been a true ensemble cast movie with an Alia that could shine because she had two excellent colleagues with Shefali and Vijay.
I would in no way compare Alia in Darlings (a dark comedy) and Tripti in Qala (a psychological period drama) although both show a mother-daughter relationship.
The intensity that both movies demand is very different.
They could have given Tripti and Swastika the awards but Filmfare being Filmfare then gave it to Alia and Shefali...
Haven't seen Qala but any other actress ( except Sanon, maybe) is a better actress than Nose flaring Queen Potato.. Vijay & Shefali ate & left no crumbs in Darlings. So, Tripti✅
