2 times Filmfare got it massively wrong - Page 4

In music category the worst decision has to be SDB not getting best music director for GUIDE, which is literally the God of all soundtracks. I read it created a huge controversy in 60s and filmfare had to issue a statement.

Filmfare awards depend on money, handshakes, and connections more than genuine judgment.

Ok, fardeen khan got best dialogue delivery awards and a baby crying has more variations than him in the movie (Kanan and Biswa and Yogi Baba, ya'all made me watch the movies scenes, Imma never forgive you for that) so yeah, Filmfare got it wrong a long time ago🙃

As I said in another thread, many awards lost their credibility and when you have award ceremonies choosing names like "OG actor" and "OG actress" for awards, their trust value decreases more for me (not Filmfare awards, ig this is for Radio mirchi awards)

Aishwarya Rai got lucky winning awards for over the top performances and hamming in HDDCS/Devdas. She got lucky because competition wasn't that great in the years those movies came out.

Given their impeccable accuracy, I would have cherished the opportunity to indulge in the splendor of the FF awards until this very moment.

Regrettably, that is not the case, as it unequivocally signifies their consistent fallibility on numerous occasions.

Not really. If she didn't win for HDDCS, she would have won for Taal which was an even bigger hit overseas than HDDCS.

As for Devdas, remember that up for competition that year was Rani who did win the Critics Award for Saathiya. Saathiya is what launched Rani as a legitimate actress. Karishma was also up for Shakti: The Power which is considered one of her best roles.

1. Border not winning Best Film over Dil to Pagal Hai

2. Priyanka not winning for Barfi over Vidya for Kahaani
