2 times Filmfare got it massively wrong

Kajol was good in K3g, not extraordinary. SHE WON IT FOR 2001.

Tabu received widespread praise for her portrayal of Mumtaz Ali Ansari, a bar dancer struggling to make a living in Mumbai in Chandni Bar and her performance was widely acclaimed.

Do you guys think she deserved it too?

Ayushmann Khurrana won best playback singer for Paani Da in 2012.

Can you think of more instances?

Filmfares have always got it wrong. Counting on the number of times Filmfare got it right would be easy.

Kajol getting it for K3G is hilarious b/c she’s strictly average in that film. Tabu winning for CB is spot-on though b/c she’s excellent in that film!!

@bold: Who wasn't? Everyone were average in that film. If we are a bit lenient then maybe Big B.

Didn't Tabu get the best actress critics? If yes, I think Filmfare did get it right.

Worst snub was PC not winning for Barfi.

I have unconditional love for kajol as an actress so i am happy with her winning. K3g gave me immense happiness in my childhood,still i love the movie. I think popularity also matters. Mass audience loved commercial movie k3g.

Ofcourse ayushman is nowhere near sonu and his abhi mujhme kahi. I mean there is no comparison between this two. I saw people crying in the song,singing whole lyric- i mean abhi mujhme kabhi is another level song. And it was so so popular back then,still..it is immortal song.

HR, K3 & SRK weren’t average. Their roles were fun & very entertaining.


Kajol went too hard on the “bubbly hyper Punjabi girl” which is what she is irl, and played that OTT.

Kajol winning for k3g over the other girls is what opened it up for Alia lol

Filmfare gave that year also gave special awards to Ameesha for Gadar and Raveena for Aks
