Actor Kiara Advani is reportedly reconsidering parts of her upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, amid ongoing reactions to its teaser. The film, led by Yash, has already drawn attention online for its bold visual tone, with some viewers calling certain scenes excessive.
According to a report, Kiara has asked the makers to trim down a few intimate portions after watching the final cut. However, there is no official confirmation from the actor or the team, and the claims remain unverified at this stage.
The report suggests that Kiara had earlier agreed to shoot a bold romantic sequence with Yash after being assured that it would stay within her comfort zone. But after seeing how the scene translated on screen, she is believed to have had second thoughts. She has reportedly requested the team to reduce the length of the sequence or tone down its presentation in the final version.
The teaser of Toxic had already sparked criticism after showing Yash’s character, a gangster named Raya, in a sexually suggestive moment inside a car parked near a cemetery. The clip triggered mixed reactions on social media, with some questioning the need for such visuals. This context has added to the current speculation around possible edits.
At the same time, Kiara is entering a new phase in her personal life after recently becoming a mother. Toxic marks her return to work following the birth of her daughter, Saraayah Malhotra. The film also features Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi and Nayanthara in key roles, making it one of the most talked about upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, the film’s release has been pushed again. Yash confirmed that Toxic will not release on June 4 as planned. He stated that a new date will be announced soon, following its presentation at CinemaCon where it received a positive response from industry circles.
As of now, neither Kiara Advani nor the makers have addressed the reports about changes in the film. Until an official statement is issued, the discussion around the scenes remains speculative.
