Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: Nandini comes face to face with Rio and faints in shock

The episode opens with both families seated for dinner, maintaining a calm atmosphere despite underlying tension. During the meal, members begin asking about Nandini’s absence. Tulsi quickly responds that Nandini had a headache and chose to rest, avoiding further questions.

The conversation then shifts to Tulsi’s pending decision regarding marriage. Family members ask her directly whether she has made up her mind. Tulsi does not respond immediately, creating a pause at the table.

Meanwhile, outside the restaurant, Nandini waits for Karan, who has stepped out to get the car. At the same time, Niyati moves aside to take a call, leaving the entrance area momentarily quiet. Rio arrives at the reception and begins speaking to the staff about a billing issue.

As Nandini’s phone rings, she gets up to leave and accidentally bumps into Rio. The moment freezes her. She looks at him closely and is visibly shaken. A sudden flashback of her past surfaces, and she struggles to process what she is seeing. The resemblance unsettles her completely.

Inside, Tulsi senses something is not right and silently hopes that Karan and Nandini leave before any confrontation happens. She gets up from the table to check if they have already gone.

Back at the entrance, Rio notices Nandini’s condition and asks if she is okay. As he steps closer, she gets terrified and faints. Rio immediately catches her and calls for water. He sprinkles water on her face, and as she regains consciousness, she is once again shocked on seeing him.

Karan learns the truth as tension spreads

At the same time, Karan tries calling Nandini, unaware of what has just happened. Rio looks outside and notices Karan near the restaurant, leaving him confused about his presence there. Before anything can escalate, Niyati returns and asks Rio to leave. He does not tell her that he saw Karan, and the two leave the location quietly.

Soon after, Nandini reaches Karan, still shaken and unable to gather herself. Inside, Ritik informs the family that Tulsi is not at the table, adding to the confusion.

Karan asks Nandini what happened, but she can only say that she saw him. Realising what she means, Karan asks if she saw Rio. At that moment, Tulsi calls Karan, and he confirms that Nandini has come face to face with Rio.

Tulsi is left disturbed, as she had been trying to avoid exactly this situation. She reflects on how things unfolded despite her efforts to prevent it.

Back at the table, the family again asks Tulsi for her decision. This time, she reacts strongly and refuses the proposal. Her tone is firm, and she leaves the table immediately. Following her, Pari also states that she will not marry Aryan. Mihir is left silent and visibly affected by both decisions.

Emotional aftermath at home deepens conflict

Later at home, Nandini continues to relive the moment. She keeps getting flashes of Rio and her past, unable to calm herself. Karan enters the room and sees her distressed state.

He tries to console her, but Nandini says everything has now become complicated. Karan asks her to move past it, but she questions why he brought them to India. He explains that he only brought Niyati and that Rio came on his own later.

Karan reassures her that she is safe and encourages her to rest. He holds her hand, but Nandini continues to struggle with the memories, showing that the impact of the encounter has not eased.

At the same time, Tulsi and Mihir return home. Mihir, still affected by her refusal, responds with sarcasm. Tulsi tries to calm him and apologises, but Mihir says he has hurt her more in the past and that her presence in Shanti Niketan is enough for him. He also adds that her refusal will not distance him from her.

As Tulsi breaks down, Mihir offers his handkerchief. While doing so, a ring falls from his pocket. Tulsi recalls how she once wished for a five carat sapphire and realises that Mihir remembered it. Despite this, she has refused his proposal. Mihir quietly picks up the ring.

Tulsi then informs him about the incident at the restaurant and how Nandini saw Rio. Mihir listens and reassures her that things will settle with time.
