Satirical Essay: Oil/GW or others???

hey guys...

i have to write a satirical article for an appropriate topic...and i think these are the easiest but how do you explain them being satirical???

rising oil prices

presidential candidates

global warming

Airline issues (i.e. charging for luggage)

College tuition hikes

please help im totally lost

I think I did one of these essays back in school, you suggest a really crazy/outrageous solution to the problem sounding completely serious. Then at the end you suggest a real solution.

For example for the college tuition one you might say all student should stop going to college in protest permanently, I don't know if that is outrageous enough, but you get my gist.

I think the classic example is Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal."
