I think Rani-Ash-Preity were the Top 3 from 2003 to 2007 at least. and then Katrina took over.

Juhi and Madhuri alternated in the early 90s. Juhi's collabs with SRK, like Darr, especially put her at the top but her bad script choices (rejecting Raja Hindustani, Dil To Pagal Hai) kept her reign from lasting longer.

You forgot Karishma. Raja Hindustani and Dil To Pagal Hai put her at the top for 96-97. It's the reason why she hated Aish because she felt Aish was stealing her position as top heroine in the late 90s/early 2000s. Aish was top from 1999-2002 with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Taal, and Devdas. Karishma's main rival during this time was really Kajol as both actresses alternated. Kajol was top for 95/98 and Karishma for 96/97.

Rani and Preity alternated after Aish for the early-mid 2000s.

Deepika is clearly #1 with Pathaan and Jawan and upcoming Fighter but you've conveniently ignored that since you aren't a Deepika fan which you and all your fake accounts have constantly admitted to.

A case can be made for Anushka in the mid-2010s as well since she had Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Sultan, PK, and ADHM. People forget she had quite a bit of box office success.

The years with ??? are all years where the top grossing movie of the year did not have a significant female presence.

In 1997, Border was the top grossing movie in India. That film is all male centric.

In 2015, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was the top grossing movie both in India and overseas. Kareena Kapoor only has a very small amount of screentime, basically a cameo, so I do not count this as a film she carried.

In 2016, Dangal was the the top grossing movie both in India and overseas. Newcomers Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh were both the female leads but this film ran on Aamir Khan's stardom.

In 2018, Sanju was the top grossing movie in India. Anushka Sharma and Manisha Koirala had supporting roles but not sizeable enough to say they carried this film.

In 2019, War was the top grossing movie in both India and overseas. Vaani Kapoor was the main female character but this was hardly a lead role and she doesn't have much screentime.
