I have been bowled over by Aar Paar ever since I watched it for the very first time many years . Shakila is one the most beautiful women in history of bollywood. And Geeta dutt's voice has been perfect for Aar Paar. IMO, Aar Paar is an almost perfect film.

@Bold: I feel that way about the leading lady, Shyama. So under-rated.

Dec 24th was Rafi's 99th Birth Anniversary.

Can you imagine the Golden Era - 40s to 60s (even the 70s to an extent) - without Rafi? I cannot. And though it was the one of the best periods for music and playback singers in Hindi films, his name stands tall above the rest. His simple persona coupled with his sincerity and dedication to his craft remains unparalleled to this day. As is how he would embody every actor's on-screen and off-screen persona in his voice when he sang for them.

Dec 25th is actress Sadhna Shivdasani's death anniversary. Famous for her trademark bangs inspired by the Hollywood icon, Audrey Hepburn which became known simply as the 'Sadhna cut', Sadhna was more than just a pretty face. With stellar performances in movies such as Woh Kaun thi, Ek musafir ek haseena, Parakh, Mera Saaya, Hum Dono, Mere Mehboob, & Inteqaam her career was unfortunately cut short due to her battle with hyperthyroidism.
