In a recent interview with India Forums, the two actors opened up about why their on-screen connection felt so organic and how their off-screen comfort played a huge role in shaping it.

An Instant Comfort That Set the Tone

For Kunal Kemmu, the connection with Prajakta Koli was immediate. From the very beginning, it never felt like a relationship that needed warming up.

“Honestly, Prajakta is one of those very few actors I bonded with instantly on set, not just as a co-actor but also as a person. Somewhere, while playing her brother, I also became a little protective of her. The way we hung out, it never felt forced or like it needed time. We’re not the kind who are on the phone every single day, but we just pick up from wherever we left off. I’m very comfortable around her, and I hope she feels the same. Doing scenes became so much easier because it genuinely felt like I was working with family, with someone I knew really well. And I think that’s what comes through on screen.”

From Nervous Beginnings to Natural Bonding

Prajakta Koli echoed the same feeling, sharing how reassuring it was to have someone familiar and warm around during her early days on set.

“He’s said exactly what I felt too. When I first reached the set, I was extremely nervous, and it was such a huge relief to have someone I could talk to and just chill with in those initial days. I’ve been a fan of his for years, so it meant a lot to me. I remember how nice it felt when we’d take a break and Kunal would ask, ‘What will you eat? Should we order food?’ That’s how I express love in general, sharing food, so that really stayed with me. We just took each day as it came, and that bond kept building very naturally. It helped immensely.”
