Hirani always does that smiley11 That speech is 3 idiots was one of cheapest scene in bollywood history. Further, SRK being a FAMILY MAN superstar should take care that even kids watch his film so they dont learn all this.

Exactly even i was thinking same. That fat joke on that aunty was just below the belt. Nice thing was no one laughed on that fat shame joke in theatre. Even they made fun of a bald man

And you were so damn right about the movie being soulless and lacking emotional connect because even I didn’t feel bad when characters died! though the Vicky’a suicide and the creepy Turkey border scenes were supposed to make you cry but guess what? I did not feel a single thing 🤷‍♂️

Even the Antam Sanskar scenes(especially the one at the border) failed to move me smiley24

Srk has managed to ruin another director after Imtiaz ali and Anand L Rai smiley29 poor Hirani!

even the entire tapsee’s sham marriage sequence was extremely tacky and forced smiley29

Wasn’t Buggu shown to be thrown out for that act ? What else do you expect in 90s backdrop. It’d have been callous had Hirani not shown any consequence to this comment. But he did. Do we mean now we cannot show anything offensive in movies even if that is shown with proper backdrop and consequences ?

Exactly, people are getting offended for just about everything now. And frankly, was this even an example of fat-shaming? Buggu was trying to get an outfit that fits the aunty. How was it shaming her if he wants her to wear a size that fits her. If anything, one could argue that it is everyone else fat shaming her by lying about her weight and pretending she can fit into a skinnier outfit as if admitting that her wearing larger clothes makes her less of a person. Buggu wanting her to wear her proper size means he supports her weight and he never says anything out of disrespect or to tease and taunt her.

I find it hilarious that Animal of all films is being treated like the messiah with all its problematic and dangerous content, but Dunki is getting scolded for trivial matters like these which were not even meant to be offensive.

I’d say we can leave the ignorant criticisms aside. For most of it it’s coming from deliberate hatred-spreading agendas, for rest they have not even watched the movie and is relying on half-baked reviews. In the movie there wasn’t a thing (unlike 3 Idiots Chatur’s stage scene) which’d offend ANYONE !

I wanted to discuss the national anthem gig. Found it extremely satirical in nature though it might not have the intention of the director. But when one is drowned in nationalism, his entire samaan and stuffs got stolen right in front of his eyes and he couldn’t move a finger. smiley37 I perceived it as irony and smart satire. How’d you find that.
