Rajan shahi has always been sexist in my opinion to show women in very stereotypical career aspirations - Dancers and Singers whereas MLs will be businessman or doctors.
Akshara 1 wanted to be singer but was housewife to begin with. She got into business later on.
Naira - Started off as a dancer, but she changed her career into yoga teacher, business contributer, and what not... Just for sake of story.
Now what's legacy... Story is legacy... Gen 3 was completely out of scope... While other two generations had better progression and leads married multiple times, one of the generation leads NEVER even divorced. Gen 3 was completely off the legacy track where they focused more on deaths and less on "Rishte". So basically Gen 3 killed the legacy and in a way proving that Kachoris and Music career isn't always the way forward.
But Rajan has finally changed and progressed in his way of representing woman, who can move on, who can be more than singer and dancer or wants to be more than that... Ragini and Sadhna ke zamane se his PH ke ladies are into dancing and singing...
Sorry, that's there across all his show and it was quite demeaning... Funny thing they raised this point in their own show where man was keen on dancing in his other show.. And finally seems atleast he has broaden his soch... And like Ekta has female leads have wider career goals not limited to dancing and singing.
I don't know what legacy has to do with all that but...
Legacy is about Akshara Maheshwari Sighania and her descendants dealing with relationships in her life.
Kachori was not main focus in Gen 1. Also, Akshara sr was NOT a good cook intially
She learned to cook under guidance of Maharaj ji , Gaytri and Bhabhi Maa
She use to keep this diary full of recipes
Neither was she very proficient at running a household alone. That was crystal in Batwara track
Akshara was a normal girl like any of us. Who hated exams like we all do 
Who was princess of her house.
Who gradually learned and evolved as time went by.
Who stepped up to various challenges life threw at her.
That's legacy A simple girl who went through all these different changes at various stages of her life.
Same with Naira. Who started off as a brat. Then ran away and use to cheat people to earn a living.
Gradually she was reunited with her family. Then fell in love. Got married. And learned things as show went by.
Kachori was only used in gen 2 as a method of bonding with luv-kush.
The point is all our Fls are ordinary girls that everyone can relate to. They are never shown as sarvgun sampan. They all have their own dreams, ambition, likes, dislikes
They make mistake and learn from it.
That's Rishta s legacy.
So Abhira is on right track.
