There is fine line between doing a fictional role and living one's life.. when you fail to separate these two roles, audience have every right to point out the hypocrisy of these preachy actors!
Let's talk about RG (Rupali Ganguly). Rupali is the daughter of a powerful and well know man, Anil Ganguly. She married late, and she proudly said...she got husband like Sahil (Sarabhai's Character) who takes care of her every need. She described herself (everyone who know her said the same) clumsy and careless like Monisha who doesn't like/know domestic work and she is a bad cook.
She is very proud that his husband is taking care of their son and he is handling domestic front so that she gets to shine in her career. She said she was never ambitious and only wanted to settled down (to marry someone and have a child) in her life, which she did successfully.
She has this fairly tale like story...where so many women just want to do the same and want the love and support of their families.
She spends too much time on social media. So much so that everyone pulls her leg because she is always on her Instagram. She spends too much money on useless items, she herself admitted in one of her IVs that she is shopoholic.
Anyway... It is her personal life and she has every right to live her life as she pleases.
But as Anupama... She doesn't just play a fictional character, she became a preacher and talk about issues she never faced and pretends to be someone who she is not. Here, too, she has every right to do her job but she has no right to moral police others, cross the line and forget she is just a fictional character.
Imagine having a profession, where you bad mouth everyone, preach something you don't follow in your real life. You earn money by creating disturbances in others life while living your best life!!!
Talk about hypocrisy at its best.
So, that is also why people shouldn't take these TV serials very seriously. But sadly our mothers take it by heart.
