Amongst its other achievements,Sahara is responsible for single-handedly improving the game of cricket in India during the 90s and putting it on track for the phenomenal growth it is experiencing today.

May he rest in peace!

Huh

Being title and jersey sponsors doesn't equate to promoting cricket single handedly. First of all they become sponsors in 2001, not in the 90s. And the game of cricket reached its highs in 2000s because of some amazing cricketers in the country and few of the administrators like Dalmiya and Shashank manohar who were responsible for competing off the field with the Big2 at that time (Eng, Aus) through ACC. And ofcourse IPL

Ok I take back the ‘single handedly’ if it hurt you so much but what I really meant was them picking up  the Indian sports from the late 90s onwards and helping in boosting the cricket in terms of being the financial partners Not just cricket they also tried to play a part in the other sports like badminton and hockey in the country. India has always had some of the amazing players even before the Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid era but what they didn’t have was the money.
