And if you decide to run the forum on the whims and fancies of a select few who will decide whom to allow and whom to ban then, plz make it clear in your announcement as to whose dictates we should follow to become a part of this forum instead of standard rules and regulations.

Edit 2 : my previous id jiggywiggy was also banned without any rhyme or reason. Plz also look into it and see how and why i was banned.

Quit your crying. What are you, a little baby? Invoking my name everyday in two separate posts. Vijay has better things to do than listen to someone who keeps making IDs despite being banned.

I am sure the moderators of IF banned your Jiggywiggy ID for a reason. They obviously know something we don’t.

In all my years I have been on this forum, at most I love bombed mods in threads when others raised issues against them.

However I am starting to understand the issues others face when confronted with questionable decisions made by the moderators.

In the new section current affairs. One mod pinned the thread, "how did Muslims come live in Israel?" Firstly how is that a current event that needs to discussed and pinned? Obviously the intent of the thread was to invite people to come and attack Muslims and obviously the Moderating team knew that.. that's why they did it, and that's what happened

That thread served its purpose and has since been unpinned and replaced with support for isreal, which has pages after pages of a couple of members attacking another members ethnicity? Again with no intervention by the mods.

Can you please look into the reasoning behind pinning those two threads. Also please look into a long term solution in regards to the moderating team there. The section has a lot of potential however it needs sensible, mature and unbiased moderating, and perhaps someone who has an interest in global events

If this forum is only for Hindus residing in india, and that's the way you want it, then let us know too.

I too have been posting exclusively on DM since more than a decade. Most contentious issues at their core are ideological in nature. Judging by the content, the political beliefs they espouse and the reactions they elicit, in my opinion, the members who fall on the left side of the spectrum far outnumber the ones who fall on the right, with very few centrists.

There is a certain amount of hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty on both sides when presenting arguments for and against any controversial topic. I don’t claim an exception to this.

Previous mods of DM (RTH and Souro) have done great jobs while also actively participating in disputes and taking sides. Current mods neither take sides nor actively engage if a discussion is deemed sensitive. People questioning the “sensibility” or “maturity “ of these mods are simply unhappy that their viewpoints are not going unopposed at times, that they are getting a pushback, that they don’t have absolute control of these forums, that the mods are not heeding their demands to cancel the posters offending them. That’s a totalitarian mindset asking for complete subservience to their belief systems.

Either all religious adherents are “protected” or all religious adherents are a “fair game”.

I don't have a serious issue, Vijay. But what do you have against me changing my signature and getting to keep my DP pic simultaneously? First I kept getting locked out whenever I tried to change my signature. Now when I finally managed to say something pro-Palestine in my signature. My DP pic is gone. And whenever I try to put it back up again I keep getting locked out again. Is it something personal? Please let me know.

@bold - absolutely agree with this. There is a majority of certain ideology here which doesn't want any other ideologies to exist. Any opposing views are met with direct & indirect taunts & mocking, ganging up & bullying, group attack and group reporting. I have thought of leaving this forum many times due to this. But something in me never gives up 🤷

This seems like a glitch with your account. I just changed my DP and my siggy box and I had no issues. I usually do DP first. Save. Then do siggy box second. And no issues.

Vijay you should look into this.
