Excited 😁. Love Aamir and most of his films. And his comedy is very endearing. AAA is all time favourite. When he gets it right, he really gets it right.

Santhoshi made some great movies. Good for Aamir. Tho I never heard of any of this before today and now it’s coming in 16 months ? Doesn’t seem like Aamir

16 months from preproduction to release definitely doesn’t sound like Aamir. Perhaps this has been in the works for longer. Or maybe he’s letting Santoshi take the reign and have full control of everything. But given that this is an AK production that seems unlikely. The other possibility is that despite the two big names this is a relatively small film that requires no changes in body, no VFX, no grand sets, and no action.

Hope that is what it is. Honestly, very very tired of the over usage of VFX. We need some real stories to be told. Low in budget and high in content.

I was gonna say I got use to Aamir announcing a movie and it releasing 2 years later 😆

Thugs announced Sep 2016 for Nov 2018 release

Dangal confirmed in early 2015 for a Dec 2016 release

LSC was delayed extra cause of covid but that movie was announced in March 2019 for a Dec 2020 release.

This one shocked me. Perhaps this is just smaller film in scale.

I consider Santoshi a GOAT director of BW who has given classics in almost every genre.

Period movie- Legend of Bhagat Singh

LSC being a remake of FG was what a nail in the coffin. If you were to watch it independently, not having watched FG, it's pretty good. Aamir tried to do something, and it didn't click with audiences as well as it usually does. That's more than most leading heroes today. Especially the Khans.
