Yeah same for my family and friends back in home. One of my Desi friends attended the Eras tour but not sure if she cared about pre-sales.

This saddens me. I do enjoy my state's drinking culture and all the drinking jokes. But drinking should be responsible. It is so sad when people drink and drive or binge drink into alcoholism. There needs to be more responsibility. The peer pressure is also awful. At least in the major cities, there are many more sober spaces and events. But in rural Wisconsin, the concept of sober space is scoffed at.

The real problem would be that her pricing is simply unaffordable. When her Chile negotiations fell through, it came out that her booking fees alone was 2 million dollars. The ticket prices would have to be through the roof. Most celebrities just put a show in Rajmangala (Bangkok), so those from India who can afford it fly out there.

She could still sell out a few nights in DY Patil. If the rumored Beyonce date is true, that might give more artists some confidence to fly to India.

She is leaving real money off the table in SEA. Philippines, Thailand, China can all afford her tickets and are absolutely mad about her. That said, she is apparently negotiating a new set of dates in LatAm, so who knows a second Asian leg might also be on the cards.

Justin did a show for 56k people in DY Patil Stadium. That's a much better capacity than a lot of smaller venues Taylor, Coldplay and Ed are all playing this time around. Ed and Coldplay are doing average tickets at small venues for about 90$ or so. That's 7.5k INR average. Taylor's would probably have to be 10k or something. Back of the envelope.

Wow, I didn't know that she's that popular. Everyone in India I know acts as if they couldn't care less about her or that they are far to superior to listen to someone as basic. Is everyone a closet fan?

I know Philippines fans are more bonkers than other fans. They're super salty Taylor is not going there. Taylor Sheesh is making bank with her own Eras tours. I know Indonesia and other countries have similar following. But never knew how big she is in India.

DY Patil is in my Indian backyard. I could easily pull strings to get premium held-back seats there. 😆

Some fans are speculating the lack of many Asian shows is lack of infrastructure. But I don't know much about that aspect so cannot comment.
