Little Neerja and Protima had conversation through the gap of the door. Neerja promised Protima that she'd get education and dream big. Then they show Neerja's life in the brothel where she is learning dance by reciting tables and studying books.

12 years later, Neerja completes her schooling (probably) and felicitated for her good marks by Abeer's dad. Neerja gives speech about Protima's struggles. Protima saw the speech standing outside. After completing her speech, she goes outside seeing Protima distributing sweets. She took blessings from her.

On other hand, Didun is aiming to make Neerja an escort in hotels from this day.

Abeer is introduced as someone who is searching for his childhood friend Neerja for 12 years in the lane. His parents are also supportive.

Protima gets a promise from Neerja to do whatever she say now. Protima made Kallu unconscious by feeding him sedated sweets. Protima gives Neerja a train ticket for Delhi. Neerja refuses but Protima persuade her to go. She advises Neerja to form a new relations in Delhi (including husband). Babban hears this and confronts Protima against it. Protima took Neerja and runs from there. Babban pours cold water on Kallu and wakes him up and told that Neerja is eloping from Sonagachi. He goes to chase her (Seems Babban is in love with Neerja).

Neerja and Protima on the run while Kallu is chasing them. Abeer saved them for hiding as well.

Abeer comes to the nearby Sonagachi lane to search Neerja. Protima took Neerja to a boat and told her that it would take her to Railway station.

The buildup of the show was overall good. The theme is just to escape from the brothel which is the aim of any woman who got stuck over there.

Chakri is a sweet character while Babban seems to delusional.

Abeer seems to be a lost guy (somewhat like Devdas) and his parents do their best to make him happy. So only Pishimaa is a headache.

It seems Neerja get caught.

Neerja is a story of hope and with a message. But as it's itv they couldn't show the reality which is too dark for the audience to digest.

Neerja will definitely fall for Abhir and he will marry her to save her from didun. Babban will be heartbroken as he's obsessed with her and will try to get her back.

I watched the episode and it was very painful to watch Choti Neerja looking Protima under the door. Oh 😭😭Phool jaisi bacchi ko itna gehra zakhm diya Didhun ne Protima se Kiya huwa Vaada 😭😭 I realised that was the goodbye scene of Myra as Choti Neerja. She had lot of potential and we started liking her. Par bahut jaldi hi show mein fast pace aa gaye... Kamya as Didhun is really scary how she performs it .... Definitely one of her best performance. I loved the way Abeer closed the car door to save Neerja and Protima.... Let's see what happens. But I seriously wish they should show issues of Sonagachi . Dekhte hai aage kya hota hai

That scene was very emotional and BGMs enhanced it. Poor girl.

Choice of actors is really good.

I think Neerja wasn't a child focussed drama and that's why makers didn't even wait for TRP to come for Choti Neerja's episodes and shown adult Neerja. Initially the show's casting started for adult actors only.

Yeah, maybe they didn't want to show a child being in such a toxic environment, maybe too heavy for audiences
