I watched two seasons of TVD. No comparison. TVD is totally another level. What I noticed is that the characters have so many layers which fold slowly. I disliked Damon when I started season 1 but by the end of season 2, it's just Damon for me. Damon is more like a hero with negative traits. Well, to all Damon fans, he destroyed Veer for me. Damon is fab.

True. Like you found that in Damon, I saw this in Caroline. She started out as an Insecure control freak but turned out to be such a great character.
TVD even made me feel bad for Katherine.

Exactly. Yes Caroline, grew so well as a vampire. Infact Elena annoys as a character. Katherine has self preserving nature - which I think is required when you live with dangerous and powerful creatures. Klaus is so different than Sikandar.

Yeah.

Even Caroline and her mom Liz’s relationship development was so beautiful. Without spoiling anything, there is an ep in season 6 (I think) directed by Paul (Stefan) which has my fav Caroline/Liz mother daughter scene. I remember I cried when watching it.

things like these are rarity in ITV shows where focus is almost always on the ML and FL (and later only on the FL) and other characters are used just to prop them up.
