If it's "atithi devobhava" attitude then shouldn't it be used for all videshi tourists irrespective of their color and nationality? How come we do not see Indians in India going gaga over Nigerians or West African nations people? Why is it always the gora sahib who's awarded such overwhelming welcome?

I feel it's due to gori chamdi fetish and the fact that they do purchase and tip more lavishly as compared to others. Pur greed and british raj mentality at it's worst here...nothing more, nothing less 🤢
