Such a gorgeous music fest with the plaintive strings of the violin to herald a beautiful morning!

Thanks for sharing that glorious Thillana piece from a musical stalwart and genius - Lalgudi Jayaraman

Here's the doyen of Carnatic music and a true Bharat Ratna - M.S. Amma singing renowned Bengali poet, musician & lyricist Dwijendralal Roy's Pothidhodharini Gange set to raag Bhairavi (Carnatic: Sindhu Bhairavi) - from her 10 languages album.

Happy Music day❤️Thank you, Shirsha for the good words and appreciation, which you expressed in a beautiful way. To live is to be musical, starting with the heartbeat and the blood dancing in your veins. Everything in life has a rhythm.

In 2009, archeologists excavating a cave near Southern Germany discovered a flute carved from the wing bone of a vulture. This artifact is now recognized as one of the oldest musical instruments discovered in archaeology. This means that human beings have created and listened to music for over 40,000 years!

Music can even be simulated by blowing a car/bike horn in a certain rhythmical pattern - Eg - the exotic euphony of the glass sound used in the prelude of the song 'chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko' can be idylically played by dint of a horn 📯🥳

He has significantly expanded the expressive possibilities of classical North Indian flute- playing through his masterful blowing technique and his unique adaptation of alaap and jod to the flute. He has composed music for many films and albums in collaboration with renowned santoor player Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma.

you either give what you don't get or think if I didn't get, nobody gets from me too.

for me it really depends on the person. I do believe we can win the world through kindness. But being kind isn't easy either, especially towards people who've truly hurt you for their selfish motives. But being kind is winning over the people, a way saying/showing you're better than them.

I live by my siggy quote. Despair doesn't take you anywhere. It doesn't help you, only you can help yourself.
