I have to agree, this is first time Anupama is taking a stand and thinking of her own priorities. This is actual growth and udaan (if she doesnt go back and change her mind). Audience reaction reminds me of this meme

It's not first time, anupama took divorce despite her children & Family req not do so she was sure she don't want to live with vanraj.

She wanted to marry anuj she married him despite objection from family

She was several times she is asked not to come to shah house, she always said mein aaungi aaungi aaungi despite getting insulted royally

So it's not first time she is doing anything for her own self .
