Unpopular Opinion - What's wrong with the mother in Kathaa falling in

Like Kathaa always says, Aarav is an integral part of her life, in fact he is her life. After Adi, for so long she hasn't seen or experienced life without Aarav even for a moment. So, what's wrong if the mother in her falls in love with Viaan first? What's wrong if the woman in her doesn't fall in love with him first? We all have different parts of ourselves within us, those parts take charge of our lives at different stages of our lives. For Kathaa, it's the mother in her who has been in charge for so long. In fact, I think only after the mother in her falls in love with Viaan, the woman in her can take forefront (because the mother in her has comfortably taken the backseat now) and take charge of her life, and only then she can truly move on, feel herself again, be herself again (as we see in the precap, enjoying herself, singing while cooking dinner, she is so chirpy even Aarav notices the difference).

I am not saying if someone is a mother, the woman in her should take backseat and the mother in her has to fall in love first or everything has to revolve around her child. But there is nothing wrong if it does happen and looking at Kathaa's backstory - loosing Adi, fighting for Aarav's life for so long - it makes sense. So, what's wrong with it?

There is nothing wrong except it is a stereotype. This show is expected to be different than usual itv shows. But this show is behaving like any other show by showing a widow can move on for finding a father rather than a lover. And this further glorifies the Indian stigma. We need characters breaking the stereotypes not glorifying one.

There is nothing wrong in it. But it is not the love story that the show promoted, promised & started with. We did not sign up for this. The character of Viaan that got under Katha’s skin in the earlier part of the show is not this saintly father figure hence we are not able to identify with this changed version of the love story.

This is the other objection that I also share. This track reinforces the stereotype of Indian widows remarrying for the sake of their child & not daring to dream of companionship, romantic love or sex. We thought this was a show that broke stereotypes.

We hoped they wld approach it in the reverse order - Katha finds herself falling in love with Viaan as a woman and then thinks about how it wld work for Aarav and after she is convinced only then she proceeds to act on her love by accepting Viaan’s proposal.

I mean this show is making her fall in love with her abuser so who cares if the single-mother-falls -for- the-kid's-father-figure stereotype is followed or not.

Before anyone jumps me, any character can BE redeemed but please the victim doesn't have to fall for the abuser please

Isn't she already fall for Viaan before she got to know Viaan has friendship with Aarav or Viaan babysitting?

Viaan' can become great father is just an excuse to justify her feeling towards Viaan. It only helped her removing mental block that what will happen to child if she remarry.
