Korean Unofficial Adaption of Anupamaa "Dr. Cha"

This newly launched jtbc kdrama is highly inspired from Anupamaa. All main characters are exact replica of Anupamaa's characters.

They have their own versions of Anupamaa (main FL), Vanraj, Kavya, Anuj, Leela, Pakhi, Samar+toshu combo, kinjal, devika etc.

Career bg is medical industry, after getting pregnant with first child FL leaves her profession (she was intern) and becomes full time housewife.

In first epi 1 due to liver failure she was on edge of death and her husband refuse to becomes her donor so she from epi 2 she decides to teach lesson to her husband nd family.

They made lot of changes and one important change is they added lots of comedy.

From epi 2 she also decides to restart her career and secretly gave exam and becomes first year resident under mistress of her husband.

This show serves everything which anupamaa fans wanted to see in her journey.

LOL No.. Koreans have far better shows. Dr Cha is a Dramedy series. Anupamaa itself is a remake of Sreemoyee. And they have better screenplays around EMA and 2nd chances. They do not have to copy from Anupamaa.. Also they give proper credits if they remake or take inspiration from any other novels/series/movie.

Even though the novel is pretty much nonexistent now, still they have given credit. Itne kharab din nahi aaye ki Anupama se inspiration lena pade 🤣 Also they have made similar dramas before for example: Let me introduce her and Love in sadness.

PS: if anyone is wondering to watch kdrama.. go for it.. Start with "The Glory". I can assure Anupamaniacs would be satisfied with the revenge served on hot plate 🥳

Had u watched latest 2 episodes?? If u had watched then u will understand how much they have copied or get inspired from anupamaa.

Literally every character and whole base story is taken from Anupamaa.

They havent credited anupamaa/sreemoyee thats why i said its an unofficial adaption.

If u havent watched newly released 2 epi then watch it, u will understand why iam saying its an unofficial adaption.

I also knw whenever they make shows based off on something they always gave credit to og work, had seen it many times in mdl/namuwiki/wiki etc. But here after watching episodes u will understand even after copying basic theme and characters they didnt credited og work.

Evn anupamaa's mother kantaben also have her korean exactly similar counterpart.

Yes I have seen. But still I don’t find anything inspired from Anupama because this is not the first kdrama where they are showing patriarchy. This is a norm in South Korea. This is the reason ladies are protesting against marriage and child birth and that’s why they have brought a drama on that topic. This is a hot topic in South Korea nowadays. In my opinion it doesn’t have any relation to Anupama. In fact they may not know that something like Anupama exists. I have Korean friends and we discuss all the series that we watch and they say this to bring about a change in their society. They really do that. They brought an awesome series called stranger when their Last to last president was impeached because of corruption. Stranger was a drama focused on judicial corruption.

But it may be different from your perspective. I have see kdramas with over bearing in laws and meek FL so I don’t find it an un official remake of Anupama

That exist in every asian household society nd everyone knws abt it. But in recent times there are very very rare kdramas which focusses on such themes. Plus i dont think ladies protesting against childrens nd marriage have any relation to this show as it exactly shows why u dont need to get married or have children over your career.

But mainstream channels very rarely shows such themes as main concept of shows.

Here in Dr. Cha watch every character, they all are taken from anupamaa only otherwise i refuse to blv they evn showed kantaben's exact similar counterpart, evn they are also going to introduce kinjal's counterpart in upcoming epi.

I just watched like 1.5 episodes. Apart from EMA, nothing is like Anupamaa.

Characters and progression is usual kdrama level. Nothing to worry 😆
