What is your opinion: Deviji’s Pregnancy

If the showIs moving towards showing Deviji being pregnant, what is your opinion about that track?

Personally, I would hate it! Couple of reasons.

First, making her pregnant right after she let her, I am sorry, AK’s foster child go so easily shows the bias of “apna khoon, paraya khoon” and that will only increase my hatred for the character.

Secondly, the pregnancy track will bolster the idea that a woman’s place is by her husband and kids and that the sole goal of a woman is to serve her husband, kids and in-laws. Isse zyada regressive thought process ho hi nahin sakta.

I would have welcomed the late pregnancy track if they would have shown a woman who is actually progressive and who defied the societal norms.

Such a track is wasted on a character profile like Deviji.

All such tracks are wasted on her because of the fake mahaanta syndrome along with the penchant to give a 5 panno ka bhashan only to ultimately go back to a miserable life (by choice) after everything is done

I will feel as if I am pregnant for the second time. Itniii Hi Khushi Hogi. Aaj Mein Upar, Asmaa Niche Type Khushi.

I think it can be done. Its a beautiful concept, if done the way it was done in Badhaai Ho. To show the shock, vulnerability, embarrassment, acceptance and then finally elation.

But but but. I know they will butcher it. If the couple is together when this happens and are shown getting through it then I think it could be the MOST successful track ever.

But if they go the ITV way and separate MaAn, keep the pregnancy hidden from Anuj and then leap…and then lo and behold Anuj meets chhota Anuj 5 years later. BIG EWWWW. Will not watch.

if they pull off a pregnancy track against all odds to initiate a patch up between MaAn, what if Anuj isnt happy for Anupama to mother his child?

would she treat the kid differently cause its her biological child? and what about dadimaa’s araam ke din?

It would be pathetic if the pregnancy track was just to get Anuj back....just pathetic...

Hope they don’t do it. It’s a little too late to make it impactful and have a good message. Would have been interesting if was done before separation tbh. I’m sorry but 4 kids was enough headache never mind 5 lol. I would just cringe at that kinda track now 🥴
