No it doesn’t. All Luv said was that Ranbir hasn’t asked him for his money yet. Nothing about that sentence structure suggests that Ranbir isn’t getting a fee. And all the finances of the movie was handled by Bhushan. Why would Luv Ranjan be in charge of paying Ranbir anything. If you ask me it sounds like a well planned sound bite to counter all the reports of Ranbir charging a lot and inflating the budgets of all his movies.

Even though Bhushan may have paid something to Ranbir already, I think that 200cr is an inflated number (imo) that will harm the verdict of the movie usually given relative to budget and domestic net collection.

For 2 years they have been shooting at foreign locations , surely the budget will escalate.

This is there with every Ranbir film. The budget and collections are manipulated to make them a hit.

I don’t think it was a PR sound bite to counter Bhushan’s statement. Ranbir’s name has been used for months or even a year amongst the likes of Akshay, Tiger, Hrithik, and even Varun who ask for too much money and inflate the budget. That’s what I meant by PR sound bite.

Luv may or may not be in charge of how the money is distributed, but it is Bhushan’s money. He’s the one financing the movie. And once again, saying Ranbir hasn’t asked me for his money could just as easily mean Ranbir hasn’t been given his remuneration yet. It in no way indicates profit sharing. If it was about profit sharing why would he even say Ranbir hasn’t asked him for money yet? Wouldn’t Ranbir wait for the movie to be released and determine the final numbers first?

A person who has already been investigated and is under the radar of tax authorities will lie again about his finances and bring more attention onto himself?

TJMM had a significant portion of it shot in Spain didn’t it? The movie went into production in 2019. I’m sure it dealt with delays and accrued interest like all other movies that were affected by the lockdown. I believe there was a fire that destroyed the set and even killed one person. Rebuilding the sets and possibly (hopefully) giving the deceased’s family some financial assistance. Yea the movie cost the producers a lot of money. It is also important to note that Bhushan didn’t say production cost was 200cr. He just said he put 200cr towards it. Is that an accurate number? I don’t know for a fact. But I do think the overall budget is high for a romcom.

They clearly say budget is 200cr and now giving this movie an average verdict when lifetime looks likely to be in 120-130cr range

What is their strategy to calculate verdicts? and why are there different ways of giving verdicts to different movies? How is a movie made on budget of 200cr an average and not a flop at 120-130? Any experts here to shed some light coz this nevet made sense to me during bramastra and not making sense here too..i always thought verdicts are given based on domestic net collections..?

Its Rk film, Biggest scammer in Btown, Remember even Shiva N 1 was declared Hit. They are trying hard for the film for not to be called out a Flop, But its still a failure.

The film is failure thats all that matter. They are trying very hard so the film don't be called Flop.

You know the film has tanked when you start hearing about sabzidis and how the leading man didn't charge any fees 😉.
