Veteran actress Jamuna passes away

Jamuna, a top actor from the Telugu film industry’s golden era, died. She was 86. She had been battling illness for many years. She breathed her last on Friday in her Hyderabad home.

Jamuna has her hand in politics as well. She joined Congress in 1980 and was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Rajahmundry constituency in 1989. Jamuna has established Telugu Artist Association and has done social service through it for the last 25 years.
