Agnipariksha (trial by fire)

The farmhouse sequence bothered me because it didn't make sense, especially the snake. Then I realized what it was - It was Nehmat's agni-pariksha. Not Nekham, not their love just Nehmat.

Nehmat was in a love with a guy before marriage. so they must be in a relationship too. Advait even says what is this love that they don't even come close (or something like it). This sequence was to tell the audience and her husband that she was 'pure'. Ekam imagines a hug but she can't even think of him in her imagination. Even the proverbial snake could not get her to eat the poisoned fruit.
ITV is regressive but this was just 🤢🤬
