You know what. The reason RNBDJ works despite all its silliness is that it has got heart. Like yeah, Taani would have had to have very severe visual impairment to not tell that Surinder and Raj are the same person. But it just feels so sincere, you are willing to suspend disbelief. Jab Tak Hai Jaan and most modern Bollywood romances feels so inauthentic in comparison.

Not an easy task to make a sad and hopeless woman love to love again...

Suri /Raj is one of my favourite double roles of the Indian movies I've watched so far... and Vinay Pathak as Bobby one of my favourite "leading man's friend".

This movie has a great repeat value for me...and the kids 😊

That’s what happened when I watched it first time. My mind kept telling wtf she can’t see it’s her husband but I still wanted to see Tani’s journey. There is something very genuine about Surinder Sahni. Srk was earnest. Whereas as Raj he was ott.
Direction makes all the difference. Can’t believe Aadi did better in RNBDJ than Yash ji in JTHJ. 🤷‍♀️ And then Aadi did worst in Befikre. 😆

Do we know how much Yashji directed himself and how much Aditya (who had written the script)?
