Hello Everyone. here is 2nd part of my short story.. and it will have one more part to conclude this story that I imagined to bring ViDev closer than they are in last 8 months of their dating life (as per my short story).

Please forgive if it might not sound authenticate and genuine with the characters of the show... its just my imagination and how i want these 2 character to be with each other... More Lovers less Colleagues.

This part is about Vidhi and her apprehension about their age difference. And how Arjun helps her in finding her way out of her confusion. and this is going to be little more wordy than last one as Vidhi's way of sorting out her confusion is different than Dev..

Yogesh yaar aaj ka half day le raha hu. Wo ek brand ka launch hai waha jana hai. Dev informs Yogesh and leaves the office immediately but making sure Vidhi doesnt see him leaving otherwise that would anger her more. Asks his driver to take leave for remaining day as he has to go somewhere, Driver happily agrees and Dev drives past the office with a naughty smile on his face.

At office Vidhi is fidgeting with her pen. Arjun observes her for a long time before irrupting trail of her thoughts "Vidhi kuch hua hai kya. Tum pareshan lag rahi ho"

Vidhi hesitates to say anything just nods its nothing then sees Yogesh and Kanika going out for lunch but without Dev. Arjun says "Dev ki koi meeting thi to wo half day leke gaye hai bahar"

Arjun has always been observant towards Vidhi little extra. He has this unsaid affection for her which he could never share simply cause he found very early that she has very same affection towards Dev. The way her eyes follow him unknowingly, the way she smiles on seeing Dev smiling, and the way she becomes more conscious about her presence every time she is about to meet him.

He knew he doesn't have a chance with her but he wanted her to be happy if Dev is her happiness. He doesnt even know that Dev is also has same affection for her.. cause as usual Dev doesnt let his personal life known in office.

Knowing Dev already left office hurt an already angry Vidhi and she just couldn't stay there longer. As soon as Kanika came back from lunch.. Vidhi asked her for half day leave as she is not well. Kanika allowed seeing her eyes all red as if in fever.

Vidhi takes her bag and about to leave and Arjun offers to drop her till auto. On the way Arjun gets a call

"Hey Mark.. how are you. Its been so long we talked" Arjun greeted with affection and had a good discussion on call.

Vidhi takes the auto and asks drive to Baal ghar, she knew she cant to go home early nahi to maa kitne sare sawaal puchegi. So Baal ghar seems to be the most safe place for her to cry her heart out.

As soon as she reaches she found that all kids are gone for a picnic and it was just security guard there who was about to leave in 3 hours. She got to know it was planned in advance. Vidhi was confused why none of the kids told her about the picnic but she still has to be there till office timings. So goes to her usual spot where she used to have fun with kids.

Vidhi was crying first cause she was angry but also cause she was missing Dev badly. its been 5-6 hours that

she hasn't talked to him properly, hasn't seen his smiling face, his lovely deep eyes and missing his beautiful voice.

She was angry with herself why she became so greedy for more when all she needs was his presence beside her. But she cant help as she has no idea how to amend things now.

Suddenly her phone rings.

Dev in his mom's room overhears the known ringtone as it was Vidhi's phone. Matlab Vidhi yaha Baal ghar me hai, maine to use abhi tak bulaya bhi nahi aur wo aa bhi gayi.. sach me gajab telepathy hai yaar humari.

He looks outside window and saw Vidhi on call.

Vidhi: haan arjun bolo

Arjun: Are kal tumhara bday tha tumne bataya nahi. Belated happy bday.

Vidhi was shocked how come he knows.. and he tells he found out just by coincidence.

He continues: isiliye kya pure din gusse me thi ke someone special wish nahi kiya ?

Vidhi: are nahi aisa nahi hai. wo bas mood theek nahi tha.

Arjun: matlab koi someone special hai tumhari life me.. tumne bataya hi nahi kabhi.

Vidhi was feeling caught.. gusse me main sab bak bak kar dungi to ise pata na chal jaye to office me sabko pata chal jayega. so she tries to change the topic.

Arjun still continues: are suno na yaha Indore me koi mast si street food ki jagah hai kya ? wo din me mere last company ke manager ka call aaya tha and he wants to have some great local food as he has come from UK for some business work.

Vidhi: wo tumhare manager the.. but baat to tum ekdum dosto ki tarah kar rahe the.

Arjun: are haan hum log aise hi rahte hai atleast office ke bahar to sab friends hi hai yaar. Sir mdam bas office ke andar theek hai. Sara time sir/madam karte rahenge to ek distance sa aa jata hai and friendship me wo warmth nahi aa pata jo hona chahiye.

Also professional life ke alawa bhi to life hai humari Personal.. nahi ? Arjun gave little extra force to the last line so that this girl can get some hint. And it did happen that way.

Vidhi tells him about Khau Gali and cuts the call with a thank you.

Dev on the other hand was even more angrier with himself.. Vidhi ka bday Arjun ko bhi yaad tha... Dev tu kya karta hai yaar.. wo teri girlfriend and tujhe hi uske bday yaad nahi hai.. ab to wo tujhe jitna hurt kare utna kam hai. Tu to gaya kaam se Dev Raichand.. sach me gaya.

Dev was thinking this all while setting up the table with Strawberry Cake and Rose bouquet. He knew Vidhi loves strawberry and roses and he thought it to be the best way to pacify her anger.

And that last, the discussion abt calling Dev sir can make him feel distant line indeed made Vidhi think....

sach me aisa hai kya ? kya sach me Dev sir ko Sir nahi bulana chahiye.. ? but unhone kabhi mana kyun nahi kiya agar unhe bura lagta bahar mera sir kahna...?

matlab wo mujhe age me apne se chhota samajh ke bas mera khayal rakhte hai.. us se jyada kuch nahi hai unke dil me mere liye ?

to kya Dev sir mujhe pyar nahi karte ? aur mujhe takleef nahi ho unki na sunke shayad isiliye inhone us din haan kaha tha ?

And then she recalled the day they confessed to each other...

nahi aisa hona to nahi chahiye... unhone jab confess kiya tha wo din to main bhul bhi nahi sakti.. how much hurt he was looking at me hurt for him... and his ignorance towards me.

fir hai kya jo humare beech hai...

Vidhi recalls all their dates after that How Dev sits across the table on coffee dates, he never held her hand himself, but if she holds he never rejects, he always maintains a distance while walking..

many more things that were making her crazy.. and everything was getting so confusing for Vidhi.

Till now she was hurt cause Dev just forgot her bday but now she is feeling like Dev was never with her as A Beloved but rather a mentor who never wanted to see her hurt or never taken advantage of.

So she concluded either Dev doesn't love her at all.. or may be he loves but there is something that keeps him restricted with his feelings.

By the time she concluded she had tears in her eyes.. she was crying as it was heartbreaking to even imagine everything between her and Dev was not as grand as she used to think.. and he doesn't love her like she wanted him to...she was so engrossed in her thoughts and dint realize it started raining.

She was drenched and crying and clueless, still sitting there all in trance but found someone standing with an umbrella over her.

Vidhi looks up and its Dev holding the umbrella and looking at her all confused.

Hope you like this part.. this one is necessary for the next part to show growth in Vidhi and her love for Dev and vice versa.

In show too I always want to see Vidhi carefree with Dev around, she is till tiptoeing around him.. and the day they confess first thing i want to get rid of is her calling him Sir... to make them feel comfortable with each other as Lovers not Office colleagues.

But such an enjoyable read it was. Dev trying give Vidhi a surprise❤️ And Vidhi madam kuch aur tangent par hi jaa rahi hai😆 but her doubts are quite believable, poor thing is worried Dev doesn't love her at all😆 Loved that he is planning her surprise in Balghar because thats where their connection started❤️

@pink- I completely agree!! Whenever I think of ViDeb in a relationship I never want her to call him sir Please it should be just Dev❤️ not even Dev ji please. I would hate it

I have seen numerous serials where FL addresses the ML as sir, ji or Mr. something and I absolutely despise it. Kind of sounds so impersonal.

But do you remember that inn the 4 days to go promo, where they are shown in relationship, she still addresses him as sir 😭 bass show mein aisa na ho😭

I had all till then end planned but next one has another emotion touched..so i dint want that to be toned down cause of this one's emotions... next ine lamba hoga pakke se nahi kah sakti but it will have lots of butterflies 🦋 and something extra as bonus 😉😉😉

it wont be like the characters of the show completly but ill take creative liberty to make it what i want to see (but wont be happening for sure in the show)

@red.. yes it is.. i had goosebumps just by imagining it myself.. so i hope ill be able to convey it in words for you.

Arjuns role is done. next part is just ViDev together.. and thats it.

Someone has to put things in black n white for Vidhi.. she is not sharp enough to catch clues so Arjun here is her BFF for her with whom she can be herself without even worrying abt love thing...

and i too really wish they skip the sir things once they are together.. it doesnt sir well with me between a couple.
