Please. Aishwarya was hardly cast by big filmmakers. Where did Chopras cast her? Yash Chopra and K Jo did not offer her films in 90s. I think K Jo may have offered her Tina role in KKHH.

Kajol got it on a platter with Khans, Chopras, Johars, Rahul Rawail, Harry Baweja, Rajiv Rai etc.

Ash got to work with Chopras first only in a multi starrer like Mohabbatein as a mere fleeting ghost. Hardly meaty roles that Kajol got.

Where has she worked with K Jo except in ADHM?

Bhansali, Mani Ratnam, Gowariker are only ones who gave meaty roles to Ash.

Kajol got far more opportunities, attention, awards than she deserved. Compared to other actors who acted and looked better than her. Even Madhuri and Sridevi never got as much choicest pick of work in 90s as this woman got or gets till date.

See if you are hell bent on hating on Kajol and trying hard to prove that she somehow alone was responsible for destroying careers of so many 'amazing' actresses, whatever I say won't matter to you anyway. And a lot of us do enjoy watching her onscreen, also Dharma and YRF are not the only big PH in India. I said Aishwarya was started getting cast in the 90s and if Kajol was so ugly and untalented, all the producers had many many choices to cast other talented and gorgeous actresses like you mentioned. Also I did agree she got opportunities handed to her but she did prove herself again and again.

Even Yash ji never directed Kajol himself and all the movies she did with YRF were big hits so she proved herself there too. Why Yashraj didn't cast Karishma again and again even after Yashji directing her himself. It wasn't like Kajol was going to all the producers deliberately begging them for the roles or asking them to not cast other actresses. Anyways I have had much of the discussion over this topic and it's clear no matter what I say, you don't want to listen or agree with. For you Kajol may be the worst actress in BW ever but not for many of us. So let's agree to disagree and end this here.

She was OTT, yes. But to say she never improved or did mature roles is wrong.

Kajol did not snatch roles. She only got favours on a platter. Like Alia gets now. Kajol had no struggle at all.

* All these films came almost at the end of Karishma's career, upon completing 10 years in the industry

* No one said she never improved; she was so good in all the films u mentioned

* Kajol even refused many films which Kjo offered her due to marriage pregnancy kids etc.

She was never a greedy person, not even that much motivated, even her own family was surprised over Kajol's success as she been a very careless person not having much interest in films. But guess what, thats what we call destiny.

If we look at 90s objectively. Subash Ghai probably was most hyped director. He hardly cast name actors.

Make up and sressing is UPON Karishma only...she was from the MOST INFULENTIAL filmi family BUT HER CONTEMPORARIES Raveena Urmila etc had better PERSONAL taste so they appeared very polished in their debuts...if karishma lacked that sense herself then its not industry's or anyone else's fault provided she got most support and was from the family which could do everything
