Two things. Karan is smart enough to play the game. Ranbir, Alia are still going around promoting the film and the sequel. It's not stopping anyone else.

Second, there needs to be some substance to sell a story. Audience doesn't care if a film is made in 300 or 400 crore. They see houseful shows, they see everyone talking about it, they buy it is a hit. Shamshera made 40 Cr. You couldn't spin it into a hit whatever rights you may include.

She has watched it 4-5 times now and absolutely loves this movie as well as Ranveer's performance in it. And she is not a Ranveer fan

She is not going to go on boxoffice India or other site to see whether it made back it's money or what was the distributor share. Uske liye toh Blockbuster hai

I am going to post something similar to what I had said in the Brahmastra BO thread.

General movie going audience do not care about the critics reviews or BO numbers. They literally run on WOM for any film. They are probably not even on social media so dont care about any actor's personal life, PR activities etc.

unko farak nai padta if the movie is a hit, blockbuster ya disaster. Sab ka apna apna taste aur interest hai. Unke hisaab se agar film entertaining hai toh hit hai, BOI kya bol raha hai kya farak padta hai. Business is for producers to look into and baki sab audience ke haath mein hai.

Brahmastra hit hai ya disaster, general public dont care. They might have not loved the movie but they are interested in the Astraverse so thats a win for the team. Someone like me who didnt like the film, I am very much interested to know what happens next. Many liked the film and are coming up with their own theories too. so that I feel is the win for the movie despite of people fighting about its verdict on social media.

Haan lekin regular audience ki liye budget info and box office doesn't matter much

Yeh sab social media aur online forums aur reddit par jyada chalta hai. That was my point

Maano ya na maano, 83 is a disaster & was extremely boring

Bramhastra is a HIT & far better than 83
